Could someone please explain to me how you wrap one of those long pretty scarves around your head and make it stay really well. I'm talking about the really long ones wrapped around and around. Thanks so much.
http://www.tznius.com/cgi-bin/tying.pl they show you several ways to wear/tie a long scarf, as well as ways to wear others.
That's cool. You should have seen me fighting with a sarong once. I couldn't figure what to do with it. So I changed from a sarong to jeans while boarding an airplane. It was really a funny experience.
I like The Braid and The Glitter Glamour ones. Pretty sexy and original at the same time I'm lovin it for you girls with good tastes!
Well if that site didn't help me I don't know what would. I'm trying some of those wraps as soon as I get out of here. Looks awesome. I've been using the same method for a few decades now. Time for a change. Thanks for the link!
That's a good site to use, I used it quite a bit a while ago. What I like to do mostly though, is to have a bun in my hair with the headscarf. First I put a bun in my hair using a hair elastic. Then, I put the triangle (or fold the square into a triangle) over my head so that the widest point faces down behind my head. Then I fold the front edge (that's over my forehead) so that it is thicker and is therefore heavier and stays on my head. I clip it on with hair clips. Then I tie the two points that are hanging on the side of my head together and pull them taught behind my head. Then, I take all the fabric I can feel behind my head, and wrap it around the bun in my hair. I tuck under any loose ends under the wrap. I take the clips from my forehead (the headscarf is very steady in place now) and use them to keep the scarf behind my ears. Then I use a long, thin scarf to wrap around my head once (it only goes around the outter edges). I wrap that around the bun also. This covers the hair clips and also make a very nice 'finished' look.
