Ladies and Gentlemen... I am curious about what trips you have done this year, to where, when, and your impressions about it, or anything you want to share about it. Also, what trips are on your agenda for the rest of the summer and fall?
Well... thus far... i've hit 2 festivals.. 10KLF and Fat Fest... and have a few more to go... Feel Good Festival, Log Jam, Harvest Fest, Boats and Bluegrass... thats my travels this year... unless there are any later ones that catch my eye....
The most i've done this year is a couple of "in the moment" overnight hikes into the hills next to my town, the bush is so beautiful! But next year, I plan to have enough money to live out of my pack for a year in parks, beaches etc. and see the whole of Australia.
probably going to go stateside before the end of the summer to visit all my old friends and relatives and see the old neighborhood because it will probably be the last time i go to the united states ..next year the passport is going to be a required document and damned if i'm going to spend $100 some dollars for a passport so i can go to the states for a few days
Sometimes the overnight, spur of the moment trips, seem to be the best ones. Where are you going to, tuatara? Is passport really $100? I can't remember what I paid for mine last year. But yeah, the passport thing seems like it's a dumb idea, especially for people who don't already have one and need to get one just to get into the US from Canada. Do you need it to go from the US to Canada, too? Or just to get into the US? I never figured that out from the little I read about the issue. I'm hoping to get to the beach for at least a weekend, since my class ends next week! Then it would be fabolus to go up to Montana and hang out with my step-brother. Or maybe head up to Washington, since I'm not sure if he is in WA or MT for now. A few of the leaves around here are starting to change already, which is strange...since it's still early August. But it's kind of a neat look. I've only seen it on a few trees around here, and only a few leaves started to change. So it was strange.
