Folks, just got this idea and thinking about trying.
Lets say out of 12 plants you have 4 males. You ID'd them early enough and instead of cutting them out just carefully remove all of the pollen sacks before they are ready to burst and keep removing them all throughout the grow period by checking on daily basis. Do you think this way it would be possible to utilize male plants and get just a little extra bud they can produce instead of throwing them away?

"remove all of the pollen sacks" These are male buds. IF you are able to catch them all you'd have a big leafy house plant could extract a cannibus like oil from them but not as good as females.

...yes. This was a bad idea. In either way they started to produce huge amounts of sacks so i cut all the males out. From 12 plants I have 5 females...much better than my last crop which i killed all together having only a single female.

the only good thing you can do with a male is, when you ID it put it back on continuous 24 hour cycle, prune it into a bush and harvest, and the growing tips ...sometimes they'll get you ripped! This way you have free smoke while your waiting on the ladies. Each time you prune it you get more tips to harvest too! Of course if you dont have the space in the garden I wouldn't do it.
