Most of us weren't aware of it at the time, but from August 2001 to October 2003 posession of personal amounts of marajuana was not an illegal offense. Anyone arrested and convicted of it during that time frame can be pardoned. Once again the Canadian government is ignoring the rulings of the Candian Supreme Court, which invalidates the marajana laws concerning personal possession.Unfortunately, the main stream media does not usually make this public, unless Marc Emery gets in on things. I posted this link on the Canadian forum, but no responses yet. Hopefully stoners here will care more about this. :)

Yea were lucky here we have a fairly active NDP party in my city so stuff like that makes the news pretty fast. but we have such a big coke problem here now that the cops arent payin any attention to the smokers anyway

Cool. I'm in Conservative country here in the Kamloops area, but we live near and work at a ski hill, so it's pretty relaxed. We toke on the patio of the bar, outside the nightclub doors with the bouncer, on our lunch break....Once in awhile the cops come up, New Year's, concerts, etc. but usually it's a lawless village. But now we can relax a bit on our town trips and not worry about being seen smoking a joint in the store parking lot. :)

It changes all the time, but around here if cops catch you burining somewhere they just tell you to put it out, in one case a buddy of mine had to throw his sack in lake ontario, was only 2g so im sure he didnt mind.

    Peace - J
