Marriage when your young isnt all bad, I met my husband when I was 17, we married at 19 and 13 years on we are still together and happier than ever. If its right for you then age doesnt come into it. Hope you had a blast Brian, and Im really happy for you that you met an awesome girl, she sounds perfect for you
Come off it mate, we don't know either of them in person, and quite frankly, it isn't the place of a forum member to comment on a marriage, apart from offering our congratulations.
Yeah I thought mine was gonna be $700-750, but it ended up being $1126.79, after taxes. It was a pleasant surprise. I spent $450 of it on weed and liquor and beer and put the rest in the bank.
Thanks. I haven't seen you in the MJ forums in a while. Anyway, she is very perfect for me. She is the stoniest female I have ever met and we make each other as happy as can be. The first week I knew her we ended up smoking 40+ blunts together at job corps within 5 days. I got really close to her that week.
What trade did yall learn in the Job Corp? They take you without a H.S. diploma or help you get a GED, did I hear right? I wish our oldest (17+) would do something like that.
I recieved certification in the field of business/clerical technologies. They also have carpentry, cement, landscaping, health occupations, and lots of others.
Yeah I'm done man. They forced me out of the program because I kept getting into fights and getting the entire campus banned from Wal-Mart and Food Lion forever, but they gave me a full completion because I was so close to finishing.
I also learned Business Technology. Yes they take you without a HS diploma or a GED. You can get your HS diploma or GED or both. In a good case scenario you would be lined up with a job before you were even done at job corps But due to me being on medical leave for the last month and a half i was there i kinda missed the job placement part. But if you want to read more about Job Corps the website is www.jobcorps.dol.gov that should cover most of your questions. If you have anymore you can PM me and i'd be happy to help where i can
There used to be a whole load of assholes on this site, I havent been here in ages but its good to see that some of the kids have grown up and stopped talking so much shit. Total respect to you passittotheleft. Fuck, that sounds so bloody patronising, dont mean it that way, just though it was cool of you too offer an apology. Very grown up and all that (By the way, you were not one of the assholes, I always liked you very much )
Hi Brian, It's great to hear that your in a good space and have found a bit of direction. Did you change your mind with what you wanted to do at job corp when you got there? I think last time we spoke you were going to be a pharmacy tech (I always thought that was a bad choice, way too much temptaion with the xanax ) It's been a while since I had the time to read over the forums, we had been deliberating for ages over whether or not to take the kids out of school while they are little and do some travelling, in the end we thought fuck it, if we dont do it now we never will. Started off with Egypt and North Africa, then moved onto island hopping in Greece then somehow ended up in Florida and did a bit of travelling around the southern states. We are back in the UK now for 3 weeks then going off for another month in Egypt, we didnt get a chance to do all the historical sites first time around and I think the kids would really benefit from another trip. We then plan on heading off to south America at the end of November, want to explore Argentina, Peru, Chile and the Falkland Islands, then the idea is head off across the south pacific to easter Island and Tahiti, Fiji and Somoa. With a bit of luck we will end up in new zealand and from there who knows? If time and finances allow would be great to move onto Thailand, cambodia and vietnam. Anyways, sorry for hijacking your thread, but its great too see you back from job corp and posting on the forum again, will try and do a bit of a better job at staying in touch, just think, we could have blazed it up in June when I passed through Georgia! In love and light, Sam xxx
Sounds like a very fun and rewarding experience. It is too bad we didn't get up when you came to Georgia. How did you like Georgia? I bet you got plenty of chances to try marijuana from all parts of the world. I am sure that was nice. Yeah the told me that the center I went to included Pharmacy Technician training, but when I got up there I found out I was lied to. I think it all worked out for the best though, because even though I doubt I will use my Business Technologies training, I was fortunate enough to meet and fall in love with my fiance. So it's cool. It almost seems like it was meant to happen that way. Passittotheleft, it's cool man. I didn't pay all that much attention to what you said anyway, because I was stoned when I read it. No harm. You're cool.
