Why do people have this idea that thirteen year olds type like this:

Please, if you are thirteen and do this... stop.

huh??? they talk like that? i never said anything about the 13 year olds in this forum but for some reason its starting to seem like they like to brag about being thirteen and question why people critisize them...don't take offense to this

 

Well I think most (MOST) 13 year olds type like that through experience. Thank god I never used 1337 speak. I suffered from ADD so I still have trouble spelling some pretty basic words... my dumb ass. But hey, I've seen 15 year olds type like that so dont feel bad

 

there are 13 year old kids who do write/talk like that but i havent seen any on this site i think if your in the hippie forms then your smart enough, i think when people dont take young people seriously, its just stupid, alot of us young people 17 and younger are very smart! and dont deserve to be judged

no, your grammer doesn't have much to do with whether you are smart or not. You are wonderful ma'dear. I was just referring to a lot of posters saying they are sick of little teenagers talking like that. I haven't read too many people using "omg!!!!" speach very much, but if they are, I wanted to ask them to stop. Nobody has to speak/spell perfect here, I know I certainly can't, but I do wish that nobody would purposely do this. It's not flattering. I love y'all, I care. I really do.

oh well im not 13 anymore, but i usualy write or type without "proper" spelling or grammer. i mean, i dont care to stick to the "rules" of writing. as long as i get my message across. some people think im 'stupid'-only judging da way i write. i CAN write proper if i wanted to. but i dont. and i dont really care what they think! writing proper is so boring, its more fun to write however u want!

 

I type proper most of the time, but lately I noticed Im typing more like I talk, like writing yer instead of your and.....and......thats all I can think of right now haha

Always had issues with other people's lousy typing. Okay no one's is perfect, but instantly readable would be good.

Not too many people spell like that anymore, that I've seen. But I guess they do because it's easier to type (even if it ain't easier to read). I kinda know how that is, typin on laptops is a damned pain in the ass...

^^Thats pretty much everything. I hate when people alternate capital lettars or write in all caps or use caps extensively. I just hate it, I think it's so obnoxious. When I used to use aim, I would meet people who wrote in all caps and it drove me fucking nuts. Really though, in case no one has noticed, people are stupid. I'm in my English class today and my techer is talking about all he books we're going to be reading. I'm thinking, "hell yes, we get to read!" and you can just hear everyone bitching under their breath. I hate it when the teacher has us read aloud in class. Everyone has to phoneticly(sp) spell out every word and then repeat it. They're so damn slow, I have no idea how they got to the 12th grade. My teacher was telling the class that they should be able to read five times as fast as you can talk(which is about right) and most of the comments went like this: "Hell na dawg, I ain't no doin dat shit. I gunna get my ass out dis class". My science teacher talks like a damn hoodlum. She's black, I'm not going to lie to you, but she's a teacher for god's sake. She should try to speak like the college educated woman she (apearantly) is. Not only that, but she actually yells at kids who have bad grammar, telling them how they show talk when she can't even speak right herself. As for me? I think I have some fairly good grammatical skills. I read horribly fast, I enjoy it. I write too damn much(note:almost every post I've ever made) and it's hard to take notes. I think I hold pretty well.
