theres always a risk but your not in your fertile days so its not likely however periods can get out of wack and things so its probably not worth risking it, remember if you dont wear a condom your always at the risk of STI's too

    The chances are very slim.
What you usually are "suggested" to do is take the number of days that your cycle lasts (28 days is normal) and divide that by 2.
Let's say for instance, you have a 28 day cycle and you start on the 4th. The next time that you should start should be on the 2nd of the next month, or possibly the 1st if it's a month containing 31 days.
On the 18th was your most fertile day and usually 2-3 days before that and 2-3 days after that are your other chances of getting pregnant.

    Hope this helps!

Actually Allana, given the fact that babbygirl is, (I'm guessing here) a teenager, you cannot be 100% sure--- heck, even 50% sure--- that her ovulation, (when you ovary realeses an egg into the fallopian tube) will occur on the 18th. This is due to the fact that teen girl's hormones/menstrual cycle have not entirely regulated. Why? Because they're not finished developing yet! In a growing girls body, ovulation can frequently occur at very different times, at this not just varies from girl to girl, but can also vary in one girl alone, ie. one month a girl may ovulate at the very beginning of her cycle, (very, VERY common, which is why it is a decent size risk to get pregnant right AFTER your period), another month at the end of her cycle. Girls can also ovulate DURING menstruation, (which explains why quite a few instances of unprotected sex during menses results in pregnancy) and some actually can go full cycles without ovulating at all. So unless babbygirl has been charting her cycles and ovulation for some time, I don't think giving an estimate of when she would ovulate would apply here.

My advice to you babbygirl, is as follows:

    A. if it has been less than 48 hours since the pregnancy risk, and you DO NOT WANT to become pregnant, I would strongly advise obtaining emergency contraception, (the morning-after pill) which should be available at any drug store without a prescription, (where you live can also be a factor in terms of availability of the pill in stores).

    B. if it has been more than 48 hours since the pregnancy risk, I would advise waiting approximately 10-12 days after the risk and then taking a pregnancy test.

As for future situations--- if you want to avoid future scares like these, don't rely on simply guessing when you ovulate, and PLEASE use some form of birth control!!

Also please note that when you don't use a condom, you expose yourself to STI risks!!

Often times there are health clinics nearby who will be happy to assist you in finding an appropriate form of birth control for you, and sometimes can offer free services!!!

Check it out and stay protected!!
