And Justice for all, no doubt about it. Eye of the Beholder is one of my favourite 'tallica songs.

Yes, they broke up after and justice, then reformed as a new band with the same name only to put out loads of audio shit that a bunch of retards bought.

I like all of their first 5 albums.. Kill 'Em All was awesome, Ride The Lightning was kick-ass and Master Of Puppets is the greatest metal album ever. All the songs are directly or indirectly linked to the album's central theme of control and manipulation, and the lyrical and musical quality of that album make it one of the best albums ever, and not just in heavy metal. ...And Justice For All was great too.. One is a fuckin amazing song with a great theme.. and To Live Is To Die is a masterpiece. You can really feel the classical influences on that track. The only problem with ...And Justice For All is the turned-down bass. The tracks on that album - especially the ones I mentioned - would have sounded amazing with audible bass. But a great album nonetheless.. very complex. The Black album was good too, most metalheads don't like it for some reason.. I agree it's not a thrash metal album but it's still great. The albums after that.. well not as great, although I did like S&M.

Mines Ride The Lightning, was my first Metallica album too. I'm a huge fan of Metallica. They're my second favorite band at the moment. I like Load alot too, that's just right behind Ride The Lightning. I can't wait for their next album. Everyone says St. Anger was crap and everything but I thought it was really good.

    black album

and load, in that order, and the rest of their stuff is pure crap. although s&m was pretty good, and their album of all covers....

The Justice Album, followed by the Lightning Album, followed by Master and then Reload.

I actualy thought it was the best thing they did since justice, not that that is saying much. I really don't see what the big deal was, especialy after the aptly title load albums.
