I tried to sign up, but it was too much of a bother. Copy/paste it. Apparently Assmeister Rudimentary Junior Senior School doesn't exist anywhere in the US, nor does it's mascot, the Assmeister Sphincter. Bummer.

    Ok here it is:

This is a rant towards the ROTC. After all these years I've been thinking during this super boring summer that I regret every second that I spent in the ROTC. At the end of my senior year I noticed that this program was everything I was against.

I was against how I had to do everything they told me to. I had to wear a uniform that people would tell me was a uniform that "people died for so you can wear it." Let me just say this, it wouldn't have to be a uniform that people died for so I can wear it if there was never any war. But I guess that's the problem with this country and it's government, we go to war for any little thing. It's like that US is a little three year old who fights just because you took away his granola bar or something.

But anyway, this whole ROTC crap is pure bullshit. It has no purpose in high schools and as someone who was in it for 4 years, I should know. I got nothing out of it and if I did I could have probably gotten it from someplace else.

Now the only reason why I even joined was because I thought that the uniform was cute. This was when I was young and didn't know any better. As I grew and met people who had great ideas, their ideas were burned into my brain and the countless hours that I spent in the Internet just made those ideas stronger.

I will admit that I met a lot of great people in this program and don't regret that at all. In fact, if I had not joined this time wasting program I would have not met that man of my dreams. But being in a program that has no purpose and spending 4 years in it is something I do regret. Now I understand why people would stand in front of my school and hand out flyers about war and how ROTC programs should be banned from schools. If you think about it this program might be about "Honor, Courage and Commitment" as well as respect and discipline but I know people who all of a sudden want to join the Army, the Marines or the Navy. At the end this will just bring home more dead soldiers. People who could have been very happy with their families if they had never joined the ROTC. Which in fact is a brainwashing program, as much as people may deny it.

So if you're reading this and you're in this program or anything that has to do with the military, LEAVE NOW!!! Before it's too late. I remember in my second year of high school and being in the ROTC and wanting to join the Air Force. But that idea only lasted a week and thanks to my friends and their brilliant ideas I came to my senses and realized that that is the stupidest thing I could ever do. Joining these programs will just brainwash you and make you join the military. Remember, these programs always tell you about the good things and the benfits they have which is a total lie. They bring you in with commercials and pamphlets telling you about continuing college and giving $50,000 for it. If I were you, I would tell them to give me the check for the $50,000 and I'll get back to them on joining.

Now, if you're not in any of these kinds of programs then try to keep it that way. If you've been reading then you probably already know why. I don't need to repeat myself.

What we need to do is come together and stop all military programs from happening. If you think it's stupid then think about this:

I used to go to a program where kids that might just be your little brothers and sisters being exposed to the cruel side of military behavior. Meaning, screaming at them and making them do stressful exercises, not knowing if these children suffer from asthma, or if these children were too weak and could faint at any given time. I know no one likes to hear about children getting hurt. But programs like the this one are the programs that will later on be the cause of dead soldiers or maybe just cause children to die or get severly hurt because of such cruel treatment. The people running this say that the reason why they bring these kids here are to teach them a lesson. They say that these children have been disobidient towards they're parents but there is no reason to scare them by throwing chairs and screaming profanity at them. There has to be another way.

If you want to stop these programs from blossoming to other schools then do something about it! Get friends with the same ideas as you and protest, we have that right then let's make the best of it. Let's come together to stop the war. We all know that it has not purpose. A lot of us already ask ourselves everyday, "WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING IN IRAQ?!?" The US knows where Osama Bin Laden is they're just waiting for him to do something bad so more innocent people can die. The government knew about 9/11 if they didn't then Bush would have done something right away instead of just staying with those children reading that story that day.

That's right, he was at a elementary school reading with children and they told him that the US had been attacked and he did nothing. He just continued spending his sweet time with the children like nothing had ever happened. As if he didn't care. Why is this? Because he didn't care. I'm not saying he was supposed to tell the children but they know that presidents are busy people, they could have believed him if he had said,"Ok children I have to go but I had a great time reading this story with you. Keep reading, stay in school." And then leave. The reason why so many people died was because of that. If he had told people to evacuate I bet a lot less people would have died.

Ok, sorry I got way off topic. But just remember, do something about military based programs in schools. There unnecesary, they have no purpose, they're a waste of time and they are capable of brainwashing this generation and the next. Let's stop this madness before it's too late!!

    And here's the other:

JESSICA I CANNOT BELIEVE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS IN THE ROTC THATS ALL U GOT OF. WELL LET ME TELL U ONE THING CHIEF IS GONNA BE EALLY UPSET AS SOON AS HE READS THIS I THOUGHT U LOVED EL VIEJO U KNOWING HE NEEDS SOME CADETS IN THE PROGRAM THIS YEAR AND AFTER HE SUFFER SO MUCH WITH U AND ALL OF US TO KEEP THIS PROGRAM RUNNING BY HIMSELF THIS IS HOW U THANK HIM IM REALLY ASHAME OF U. THIS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

Maybe it wasn't the right thing to do, to write something like this after actually being in this program but I believe that people have the right to change their views and then write about it. Maybe it was wrong of me? Damn, now I regret it! Should I? Someone help!

Remind me, why are you concerned?

They seem like idiots to me... freaking out on you because you have a different opinion about things. They seem like big players of "Follow the Leader" and why would you be concerned about what two followers like that think about you personally? Because they are your friends? Obviously they aren't.

Alright, I know you're going to hate me because I'm going to play Devil's Advocate for just a minute... But I did read your entire thread/rant/essay, and first and formost, I can't believe how unbelievably grammatically wrong the bulk of your writing is. I get the point you're putting across, but there are parts of it where you come across as a bit of an illiterate. I'd hate to think that someone who's that grammatically wrong will manage to get out of English class. If you want your point to come across better, then I suggest that you either proof read your work, or get a second and/or third party to do it for you before you start spreading it around.

What the hell kind of program is this? It sounds like you get involved with a lot of backwards programs. Did you do anything about this particular program that abuses kids in this way?

ok.... um, there's a whole slew of things I think are wrong with this peice...
    a) a program like that WILL NOT later on be the cause of dead soldiers - unless you have a list of existing dead soldiers who were once part of the program and you can directly link one to the other?
    b) if kids are dying and getting severely hurt via this program, then why not call Child Protective Services or something? or are we still at the 'maybe just cause children to die' part?
    c) THEY'RE means THEY ARE, not THEIR, but that's beside the point
    d) I hate to say it but if the reason why these kids are being brought to this program is because of disciplinary issues, then sometimes (?rarely?) more disciplinary actions need to be taken to put them back in line. I kind of thought initially that the problem with this unnamed program is that kids at random were being cursed at and had things thrown at them. Unless it is that kind of course? Want to be a little less vague?

true that... at the very least, CrystalDove uses a bit better sentence structure and punctuation... if these are your friends, they're not worth having.... I'm sure you can find a better circle.

You want someone to just hand you a check for doing nothing? Um, there's a program that does that... oh wait, what's it called? Oh yea, WELFARE. silly.

A lot of people do a lot of yellin' at protests... just a thought, but wouldn't it be more productive to create an alternative club or program that students can get involved in? There are students who join things like the ROTC simply to get involved in some kind of extra curricular.

There are many more things accomplished in peaceful protest then raising arms at something.

Um, I think you need to revise this thought a little. I agree (to a degree) that Bush isn't always the brightest bulb in the box but that particular incident wasn't as blasee as you've written it.

Hate to say it, and CrystalDove, I don't want you to take this as a knock against your writings, but I think that this statement is a little bit more empathetic to the cause of 9/11 and the subject in general than parts of what you wrote.

Again, if I were you, I'd revise your writings and try to articulate a bit better some of your concerns and thoughts, and once that's done, I think your view would come across a lot better.

    But that's just me.

i was in rotc for 4 years.. i went to three different schools and it was a way for me to make friends. i was pretty good at it and got to a pretty high rank and thought about joining the military, still do sometimes just for the monetary benefits. i know a lot of ppl who did join.

i think your "essay" needs some work like cerridwen pointed out and i also agree with the others about your "friends" i'm sure you can make new ones

I think you and your circle of friends are very immature for your ages, and I have a hard time understanding how somebody who spent four years in ROTC, part of which is spent studying ranks, can mispell colonel.

I also have a hard time understanding how a school ROTC program can possibly not be aware of allergies, illnesses, and required medication when every school I've attended, and there have been several, requires that information.

You make a lot of ignorant remarks that take away from any credibility you may have had in your arguments. For instance:

It's no secret, to anybody, that ROTC is a way of preparing highschool students for entering the military. It helps them acquire a hire rank from the start as well as gives them knowledge of things such as rank structures, general orders, along with countless other material that is required knowledge for promotions. Not to mention the physical training and being taught how to march.

These programs don't brainwash anybody other than those who join "because the uniform is cute". Almost everybody I know that joined the ROTC program at my school, along with myself, joined because we already considered the military as a possible future.

ROTC, as stated above, is a military preperation course. Those who could not fulfill the requirements were not disallowed at my school, but were discouraged from joining due to some of the physical demands of the program. Anybody who gets their feelings hurt by being yelled at should never have joined the program to begin with. These aren't 5 and 6 year old kids we're speaking about as you would make it sound in your presentation. These are people that should very well be at an age of reason, and should have enough sense to know that just like the military, a military preperation class isn't going to be full of arts and crafts and flower planting

Overall, I think you based your writing far too much on opinion and far too little on a factual basis of the negatives of these kinds of programs. You say these programs lead to dead soldiers. You say these programs lead to wars. The military isn't the cause of wars, governments world wide are. A national military is the biproduct of a need for protection due to wars. You could decommission every soldier in every branch of the United States military, and another war will flare up next week regardless.

You don't like the program? That's fine, but don't spew a bunch of ignorance in lieu of actual reasoning and factual basis if you expect people to listen. Period.

Did I mention the resemblance of all the entries as far as grammatical mistakes, internet lingo, and horrible structuring makes this look horribly staged?
