Ultimate yield probably has more to do with environmental conditions than strain. If I were you I'd grow Northern Lights.
Indoors Big bud is said to have the largest yield but it lacks somewhat in potency. The Hog from TH seeds is meant to have a big yield and is potent if you like Indicas.
I am going with Big Bud on my next grow to see how really big it will turn out. I will post chronological pics of the grow in my gallery the same way i am doing with my current crop of Albino Rhino.
I grew Big Bud outdoors a few years ago. The size of the buds was ok (not the biggest but decent) and the high was good, but I wasn't impressed enough to grow it again.
Purily commercial strains like big bud are just that ,fair in outcome.just depends on what ya want, but like Rannger stated early in the thread, grow NL5,above average yield, tasty on the pallet and easy to grow.
I know they might be difficult to find right now, but BOG's seed strains are about the best I have sampled... and I lived in Amsterdam for most of the last decade... I've met Soma and tried his stuff while gazing into crystals, I've hung out with the THSeed boys and love their accomplishments... and volunteered at the Cannabis College on numerous occasions. The folks on the scene there are talking about DNA Genetics now, and I fondly remember a wonderful strain named Cinderella 99 that made you laugh your ass off... and produced a big harvest. Big Bud gives a big yield, great for the commercial grower unconcerned with the quailty of the high or its use for medicine. Northern Lights was a great producer for us - outdoors in the Netherlands where the challenge was growing at 35 feet below sea level in poor sandy soil. But with the right nutes and the proper care we realized a nice harvest that lasted more than a year! Legally, I might add. Thank God for the Dutch and California, without them there would be no safe haven. My suggestion is to try several strains, and settle on creating some mothers from the best, and working from there down the road over the years. Thanks Chris. My Lifesaver has been one of the biggest yielders indoors that I have ever seen but there are many large yielders. Some BIG BUD clones available in limited areas are very good on both yields and quality. A good KUSH or a nice Bubblegum/blueberry cross can do very well and I prefer their tastes. BOG
