Is there any problem in taking your indoor plants outside for a bright sunny day every once in a while?
honestly, im not an experienced grower, but I would say that unless you have to take your plants outside (you were gunna have your room inspected or something) You should leave them indoors. of the reading I have done (and other people can verify this im sure) marijuanas vegitative/growing cycle depends completely on how much light there is. Too much light on a flowering plant would make it go back to veg or have it turn into a hermaphrodite, or a veging plant might go and start flowering prematurely. I dont know the specifics of how long it would take to do any of the previously mensioned. I dont know if even a single day could do it. But, its probably much better to not mess around with the lighting situation unless you absolutely have to.
I wouldnt do so there is another issue beside light, and light doesnt even have to be an issue if u bring it back in b4 the sun starts to set...i would be more worried about bugs!!! they will land in the soil or on the plant outside then thrive when u bring them indoors.
I'm a new grower and I was wondering the same thing, sounds like it'd be fine but i really wouldn't know..
Don't do it. Changing the environment stresses the plant. I know someone who was growing inside under flo's. He took his plants outside and the sun fried 'em.
You can do it you just need to make sure to acclimate it right. If a plant grows under a CLF its whole life, then tossed into the sun obviouly it will die. If you slowly introduce it to the sun, it will be able to make it, and I believe will benefit the plant. Putting plants under tree branches is a good way to acclimate the plant because the sun will shine on them for a bit then have shade for a while. doesn't fry them and it gives them a chance to adapt.
the sun is the best light source for plants period. The only thing you would want to avoid is flowering them under the sun and vegging them under a light. DO NOT change the light cycle. If dark period in your grow room is say 1 in the morning, dont stray from that cycle. It should be ok to put your plants under the sun when they are suppose to be getting light. As long as they are mature enough (a week or so before showing sex) they would probly benefit from natural light. Chances are your not giving them optimum light conditions indoors anyways, and natural rays are much more delicious in a plants mind. But hey im not expert, i just know for a fact that natural sunlight is always best.
Hey jacob! A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing! An indoor plant has to be "toughened up" before you can leave it out in the sun for long periods, regargless of maturity. Changing the light cycle (photoperiod) is an integral part of indoor growing - that's how you get them to flower, by changing from long day veg lights (24/0-18/6) to short day flower lights (12/12 or so). Yes, the Sun is far superior!!! But the plant wont really benefit from doing this "every once in a while". It's far more trouble than it's worth to do properly. The pest issue is a whole new can of worms. It can be done but I wouldn't advise it!
