    If I:

    * Only wash my hair with a bar of natural soap

    * Never comb my hair

    * Never brush through my hair with my fingers

    * Let it grow

    * Only wash it in clockwise or counter-clockwise motions. Only one of those though, not both (I heard somewhere on here it worked)

    Am I guaranteed to grow dreads?? I am white so this may be harder but I really want to do it.

    Nothing can guarantee your dreads but you. You must have patience growing dreads takes time. And it don't matter if your white this community is mostly white from what I can see....

    ^ Yea it is usless but MikeJH3 did the clockwise thing it helped a lot to start it off so start it off by clockwise rubbing while in the shower only once and leave ur hair go and ur fine.

    Your hair is going to dread matter of what. Of course its going to work, because your hair is going to knot up with time... Its just a waste of time and a pointless step, dont bother just dry your hair ....

    You could wash your hair with normal shampoo and still get dreads...it would just take a hell of a lot longer.

    Using an anti residue or residue free shampoo is all you need to do realy...nothing else.

    The best thing to start natural dreads is ...NOTHING

    Just wash like you do now and do nothing else
