From http://www.wired.com/news/wireservice/0,71623-0.html Looks like I'm done eating Sausages, luncheon meats. Does anyone else see this as a wee bit arrogant? Is anyone else bothered by raising the price of consumer goods, and changing the quality of a food in oder to protect (get Ready) one (1) person in Six hundred and two thousand four hundred and nine (602409) people from serious illness. Don't get me wrong, but maybe LUNCH MEATS aren't the best food for anyone, let alone people with decreased immune function. to put perspective on this 300 people died from alcohol poisoning (poisoning only, no injuries, accidents or other deaths) in 1998. So while alcohol is less likely to result in toxicity, it contributes to more over all death and we don't spray viruses in our wines or champagne. Any comments?
