Most of my friends think that by blowing up yourself in the vcinity of isrealian soldiers would be an act of "Istishhad" and that by doing it that you would instantly go to paradise. now I wanna know if that's true or not. plz post some evidence from the quran or at least a hadith to support your answers. thx!

yeh I told my friends that suicide would result in you going to hell, but they used the fact that this is the only way to fight the isrealians to support their argument. they believe that since god said that we should do "jihad" againts any1 who tries to invade our land and since kamikazes in this case are the only way to fight then it's admissable to do it. I read the link but I dont think it really mentions anything about istishhad. So to sum it up: if you do istishhad all your sins are forgiven except for unreturned debts. correct?

I don't believe blowing up soldiers could be considered terrorism. It would be a legitimate military tactic. I would still consider it suicide though.
i'm not islamic, but here's my attempt to think in the manner of a muslim. i guess with this kind of thing, you'd have to consider whether you would be committing a "neccessary" sin or not (ie, killing yourself to save others). if you lead a good, holy life (keeping to what your religion and your god tells you is right) and killed yourself in order to free your country from invasion, than i feel you should be rewarded as long as you didn't try to kill civillians in the process. on the other hand, if you lead a sinful life and then blow yourself up in order to get yourself back into the Creator's "good books" (so to speak), then you should be punished rather than rewarded. also, if you killed civillians purposefully, you shouldn't go to any kind of paradise. also, how highly prohibited is suicide in islam?

And what about the murder of inocent people, Is that not a sin with your god? What right does a muslim, or anybody, have to end the life of someone else in the name of a religion or a cause??? It seams to me that like all religious types what ever their religion, the christians (both types) and jews are no different, you justify acts by claiming it to be the will of your particular god. The Catholics used that to justify murdering native Americans, the puritans used that to justify the burning of pagens and so called witches. Now Muslims use it to justify killing muslims and non-muslims alike. What god can justify murder and forgive it, and if that is the case what kind of god is he to follow? The biggest evil in this world is blind and un-questioning obedience!

Both examples of religious brain washing. Islamic extremists who commit acts of murder, whether sactioned by the Koran or not, have the same religious mentality and use the same justification, and have had the same brainwashing! Should'nt this kind of thing be consinded to the past now!

So how do you stop terror groups using Islam as the reason for their actions. This task has to fall to people like yourself cause they aint going to listen to people like me or Tony Blair! All they do for Islam is alienate your religion in the west. They dont win any victories for any injustices, but just create more divisions. If they feel there are injustices against Muslims in Isreal/Palastine or Iraq, bombing London trains doesnt help their cause but just make new enamies for Muslims. There are now more divisions in the UK after 7/7 and the recent bomb plot on US airplanes than ever before! If murder is against the teachings of Islam, maybe someone should tell that to these so called Muslims!
