    Hello Everybody,

Well to start off I am doing a report for school in which I am Supposed to gather information on the different options an individual has to pay for college. whether it be a state university or a community college. As many of you know not all of us have the funds just sitting around, so we need a bit of assstance. I would like to hear about personal experiences and future plans on how to pay for college. I myself plan on attending the University of Wisconsin at Madison after I finish my general-ed credits at MATC (Madison Area Technical College.) Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated.

I hate the whole financial process and IMO no one really helps you. I barely got anything from the state even though my dad is retired. School costs $9600/year. I go to Temple University in Philly. I'm in my 3rd year. I got $1750/semester from the state. Then I had to get private loans from Sali Mea (sp?) loan services. The interest rates are 8% and are locked in on that rate. Do not get a loan from a credit card company because their rates can change. They start out low, but can get REALLY high. I saw one for 4%, but by the time I graduate that could double or triple! Most education loans do not have to be paid back until 6 months after graduation or whenever you stop attending school. I hope I helped. If you need any more info then just let me know.
