my friend and I live in FL, and we want to move out to California. we're ready for a big change, and we thought moving across the country would do it. we're hoping to find a cool little beach town somewhat close to LA.

    anybody have any suggestions?

Better bring some money....California is freakin expensive. If you were lookin for a really chill enviorment though I would recomend ditchin the beaches and all the "super hip so-cal kids" and movin up north a bit to Chico. It's a big college town and everybody there is chill as hell. Plus it's beautiful there and a kick ass party town minus the stuck up kids who believe that they are tough shit becuz of the OC. But thats just my opinion.

Take I-5 North for days.....ugh I-5 is incredibly boring. It's a good 13-15 hour drive (i may be wrong  ). As long as you have a place to sleep you are in good shape. Slept in my cars some nights before I finally got my house last year. Good times though....traded a slice of pizza for a 40 of steel reserve....what was i thinking?
