I was talking to a friend earlier, and she used the term "so scared I almost shit my pants." Immediately after she said that the question arose. Who honestly craps their pants when they're afraid? Have you ever had the "shit scared out of you"? If I was terrified there's no way I'd even be able to fathom taking a crap. What's your view on this awful saying, or rather sayings? Can someone shed some light on this?
I have had the piss scared out of me during a time when I was a passenger in a end over end flip wreck.
the more grammatically correct thing to say would've been that she nearly SHAT her pants... being in the past tense since it already happened. And I don't think that someone can get scared to the point of crapping. I can see/understand pissing urself, but anyway...
Is it shit shat shitten? That never happened to me but I passed out once and peed all over myself... or I puke when I'm very scared... and if I laugh too hard and need to pee, it's very hard to hold it! But I force myself of course not only because I'm a very clean girl but also because it makes vagina tighter
The expression comes from when people were killed by hanging. Right after they die they crap their pants.
yeah my stepdad thought he was going to die by sliding over the side of an overpass during a wreck on an icy highway... i don't know which one he did, but he spoiled his pants somehow because of it....
