I mean, for example, when you were 15 you used to be a huge Led Zep fan, and then kinda got tired of them, then hated them, and all of sudden now you love them again... For me, it's The Byrds. I hadn't listened to them in forever and just recently re-discovered I loved them...
Don't really have that in extreme proportions, but I keep discovering great bands from the nineties that I missed at that time (ah well, I was just discovering music then so it's quite understandable). For example Karma to Burn, Melvins, Nebula and Datura. All bringing out the greatest albums in my teenage years wich I missed at that time.
actually your example, Led Zeppelin, I loved them as an early teen, got way burnt out on them, now 20 years later they sound fresh to me again
I got into The Doors again..something about Jim Morrison is so unresistable.... oh and Joni Mitchell too
Eighties pop/rock/alernative. I went to a Hewey Lewis and the News concert last month, and it took me way bag to my early teen years. I loved it.
David Bowie and Don Cherry (Well, I never stopped loving Cherry's music, but I needed some distance for a while) whoops I almost forgot, last night I was drinking some white ale when I found my long lost Old & In The Way cd. Man I missed that one for so long now
ooh yea, I love Bill Wymans bass playing I have no need to rediscover the Stones, as I love their old stuff so much that its been in rotation for years!
I've just recently re-discovered INXS and have been watching their Wembley show for the past weeks. Have developed a huge admiration for the band and a HUGE crush on Jon Farriss, the drummer..
Hard to say really... I have a few staples and then I chop and change a lot between lots of different stuff... I learnt not to burn myself out on bands ever since my fanatic Beatles phase... Maybe I should rediscover them!
