Has anyone read this? I read it about a month ago and really enjoyed it.
But I've heard some negative things about it, like, a lot of it was made up.

No,I haven't read this.I read 'No one gets out here alive' by Jerry Hopkins & Danny Sugarman, many years ago. That book was singularly responsible for the huge revival of interest in le Jim!.

I havent read that either, but iv read Wild Child by Linda Ashcroft, one by Praticia Kennelly and Noone Here Gets OUt Alive. I like Wild Child because it shows a different side of Jim that Noone Here Gets Out Alive does. all good books

I've read Life Death Legend and I thought it was pretty insightful, I mean, if the stuff in it is actually true.

Riders on the Storm is a good one. I can't get through Strange Days without wanting to throw it against a wall, and I have yet to get all the way through No One Here Gets Out Alive, but it seems okay.

i haven't read this one yet, but i highly recommend 'light my fire: my life with the doors' by ray manzarek. he did a WONDERFUL job... you really feel like you were there, experiencing the making of the music, experiencing life with jim.

I haven't read any of the Jim Morrison books, except for his own poetry book, American Prayer, or something like that. And that was a long time ago. Exactly how many Jim Morrison books are out there. Ha, this is funny, right now, as I'm typing this, the radio started playing The Doors. "Love Me Two Times". Funnily, enough.

I admit that it was after I watched "The doors".

at the moment i am reading "life, death, legend" and am loving it. ive heard its the best book on him. what is in it that is said to be a lie?

I grew up with Morrison. My parents loved the Doors back in the day.
His poetry is so raw and beautiful. Totally dig it, read American Night and Wilderness religiously every year. :p
