Why do so many people like to smoke pot

I have quetion I was talking to this girl and she like to smoke pot and many people on this group like it too.Why do so many people like to smoke pot and what is so good about it and the effects.

And why is it illegal?

and you think i don't smoke pot? other individual pot smokers can vouch for the reason everybody eles smokes pot. some people like it because it is one of the weakest drugs, they know they can smoke it without dieing or having any other serious affects other than most popular drugs, and the pot scene is spreading quick which means more and more people are smoking which means more and more people are becoming aware that it's not that bad for you and can experiment with it. but like i said earlier that doesn't explain why all stoners smoke. and if your so curious about how it is then try it for yourself because only that will explain everything my friend.

and if you ment you were asking the pot smokers about why it's illegal they will just say the same thing thats at the site.

 

I smoke because I enjoy it. The high feels good and it allows me to think in a different (but not necessarily better) way. It helps me express myself creatively in a different way to the norm. It's relaxing and fun. And it's nice knowing I'm not going to overdose or do any serious harm, as 40oz said.
I've had many realisations about my life while stoned and integrated them into my sober life.

None of the reasons for it's illegality are justified.

 

Weed doesn't make me nauseous, nor does it give me heartburn - both of which I've experienced with alcohol. When I wake up the morning after, I have no hangover. As a musician, I never play when I'm drunk. But when I'm high (and I haven't mixed weed with alcohol) I can play just as well as I can when I'm sober - sometimes, on a good night, even better. Not to say that I need pot in order to play: in fact I prefer to play sober when I'm really serious about a performance. But when it's just for fun and I'm just jamming with other musicians, I don't mind playing stoned. And why am I sharing this with you? Because I want to show you that smoking pot does not make you stupid, useless, or crazy.

 

one of the big reasons marijuana is illegal is because it would be a big competitor to the textile,logging and oil industries. Marijuana could replace paper and could be used to heat houses and even run cars. The companies who make paper and produce the petroleum and make all the money, would of course not want this so they pressure the government to keep it illegal. That is what i believe to be one of the major reasons.

Reasons for smoking pot? everyone will give you their own, though i guess people do it because they enjoy it...obviously. I like it because it adds to normal, sometimes mundane life.

 

hehe that's a good question, why do I smoke pot... well, to be completely honest, there's a few reasons - because I enjoy it, for something to do, I love the culture behind it, and I love the stoner image (as dumb as that may sound, it can be really fun sometimes haha) - that doesn't necessarily mean I try to make myself into a typical 'stoner' (I'm sure I do sometimes anyways), just that I find it funny and a good time.

 

Its easily the best drug known to mankind IMO, plus you can do it everyday with the least amount of reprocutions.

Coke everyday= crackhead, your fucking crazy
Meth everyday= man youre worse then a crack head
Acid everyday= man you're never falling asleep
E everyday = skeleton
Shrooms everyday= well i guesse taht wouldnt be that bad
Boooze everyday= people do it, but youre soon to build a strong resistance
Pot everyday= one happy, well rested motherfucker with a healthy appetite

 

i smoke pot because i love everything about it, i love the taste, i love the high, i love the sex when its in my brain, i love how i think, i love how i laugh, i love the whole underground culture that every regular pot head goes through. i love it all. and that is why i smoke pot.

 

Marijuana is illegal because large tobacco companies pay millions of dollars in funds to anti-marijuana politicians because everyone knows that if marijuana is made legal, tobacco companies will lose a hell of a lot of business.

Why do we like pot? If you haven't smoked it yet, smoke it, you'll know.

i think they would lose money, but i don't know if it would be as much as you think. alot of people that i know who smoke pot, smoke cigarettes too. sometimes a good cigarette is amazing after a session of smoking.

 

I agree.. it wouldn't be THAT much.. tobacco and marijuana aren't substitutes for each other.. but the figure would be high enough to concern tobacco companies.

 

What would be great is if mary jane was legal and tobacco companys could only put so much MJ with tobacco so it would be that much of a problem.

 

Weed is life, simply put. It makes me happy. I love everything about it. It brought me out of depression; even my therapist agrees. He says it is much better than ritalin or adderall, at least in my case. It helped me to get better grades when I was in school. It helps me concentrate. Basically, it fulfills my every need and I intend to be smoking until I am old and gray. I will have a box of prerolled blunts sitting on my nightstand while I lay on my deathbed.

 

Okay someone was saying they like the high what does the high feel like.Or making you happy is the high?

And someone was saying they like sex better when high on weed is that true? Like does it make you more sexuality active or is sex stronger?

Someone else was saying it makes you calm and relax is that true? And the more you smoke the more calm and relax you are?

 

It makes me happier. It just makes everything more interesting and you smile/laugh at everything, unless it's negative. Weed just makes everything better and more fulfilling.

For some people, weed is an aphrodisiac, especially females. It has never worked this way for me, though. Weed affects everyone differently.

Very much so. Weed makes you very calm and relaxed, and it also makes everything more intense: sound(music, especially), happiness, touch, sight, etc. Weed just intensifies what you are feeling at any given time, except sadness. Sadness completely disappears when I get high. It's not really an escape from bad feelings, but it certainly helps you deal with those bad feelings in a better way and helps you see the good in any situation.

 

ok man weed has a different affect on everyone but that is probly because different people from different areas smoke different weed.....

the high is not just happy....i dont really feel anything euphoric but luaghing my ass off for no reason

the visual is weird as hell (the unknown affect of weed to most thatr havnt tried it)
the first time i smoked....it took about a minite to kick in.....and i looked up at my freinds speeker(who had loud ass music playing) and i said.....HOLY SHIT!!!! THE MUSIC IS 3D!!!!!! dont ask me to explain that its something you have to experience....
frame by frame vision is expected and sometimes trails....extreme relaxation...like if you sit somewere comfterble you mold with the spot and you dont wanna move for shit.....colors are more noticable and it seems like theirs something more to everything.....like when your hight.....and you watch a cartoon.....youll notice refrences to drugs that you wouldnt have cought if you were sober.....

food tastes 101231230 times better and understanding takes alot less verbal expression if the person your talking to is as high as you are.....(youll say a half sentence and the other person will udnerstand it completely).....but usually only when your on the same level.....

you think alot deeper and get great ideas......and alot more but im too lazy to say the rest......go figure

 

I know what you mean. You can't "see" the music, per se, but it just feels like it's flowing through you or somthing. It is very hard to explain, but you can definitely 'feel' music in a much deeper way when you have been smoking a little bit of the green goddess.
