Any interest in reading a short story based loosely on marijuana if I post one?

I'm not really sure how much detail I want to go into about what it's specifically about plot-wise, but I will say that I originally didn't see my ideas working out through any medium besides film. But, upon reading what I had completed so far on the screenplay that I had taken a short break from, I decided that shaping it into a story would be kind of a fun challenge.

I'm still getting acquainted with my schedule so I'm not sure how much spare time I'll have to devote to it, but I figure that being aware that there are at least a few interested folks out there who are perfectly cool with marijuana would work well as a catalyst of sorts.

So any reading enthusiasts out there? This would probably be quite long by anonymous Internet standards and would certainly require a few months, but I figured I'd ask here, among other places.

Finally, if anyone here has worked cannabis into any kind of creative writing, I'd be interested in reading it.

Hell ya, I get really into stories people post on here when I'm high.

 

Of course, man. I'll read anything about drugs. Which is sad... but true.

 

Thanks to those who expressed interest. I feel compelled to offer at least some information as far as what the story entails, but I feel that doing so would spoil it both for me and whoever actually remembers what I wrote when I finally do get an acceptable copy finished and uploaded.

I will, however, say that the majority of the marijuana smoking in the story occurs as the result of being smoked up by a small group of carefully selected individuals, and that doing so is essentially the driving force of nearly all notable actions that take place in the relatively short time span over which the plot unfolds. I guess I'll also mention that a considerable amount of the story is based on actual events which, upon reflecting on them, made me smile enough to want to put it on paper.

If anyone else is up for it, I think it'd be kind of cool to select a date to submit short stories, poems, and any other kind of a creative writing to a topic on this forum. Maybe a few months down the road?

I'll try to have a quality version completed by the middle of October. But to reiterate, the date of completion all depends on how time consuming my studies and other writing projects prove to be. There's also the matter of how well it will translate from screenplay to short story, but I'm actually looking forward to that challenge.

In the meantime, I still think it would be cool if others here would post some creations of their own; paintings, poetry, short stories...hell, even a rough outline of an ideology would make for an interesting read.

 

ill definitely contribute.... i love writing... although it takes me a very long time to produce a very small amount of work that isnt all that good.

regardless i will post eventually.... ill get to work my next day off.

how long at what type of pros were you planning for?

 

I guess it could be considered a situational dark comedy of sorts, with time lapse being an important plot element. Hard to say how long it will be considering that an inordinately large amount of information was originally intended to be communicated through fairly efficient snap-interpretation camera work. So I don't know...maybe 50+ Microsoft Word pages single spaced?

 

I would read it man. souds cool. i love reading and if it's about pot ill read it more.(dont ask how to read it more. i dont exaclty know how or why i said it. i am kinda high, and..............what the fuck!! hahaha i'm still writing in parenthesis. god NO STOP!! they're coming for me aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhgggg)

 

Definately up for reading an interesting story! Maybe I'll have to pick my thinker and see if I can come up with a short story.....
