I went to the flea market and picked up a grotty old guitar, sanded it down, polished it up, painted it and it turned out like this...

    [IMG][IMG]

Everyone and his dog seem to be playing guitar these days, so who am I to miss out?!

And then a bit of camerawhoring...

    Hope you like :)

    Is that a D chord you're playing? :)

I tried to teach myself but I don't have the discipline :( Can still knock out a few vague tunes though :)

Really cool looking guitar you got there!!

Thanks guys! I thought about the ebay thing but I don't think I'd sell them enough to make it worth it - the cost of the guitar in the first place plus postage and all that. This one was for fun anyway :)

Lovely werok on the guitar, I have always wanted to pain my accuostic, but never got the guts to do it, I tend to mess up when it comes to art projects. What did you use to paint it? Simple permenant marker, paints?

And you, ofcourse, look as lovely as ever. :)

    Hey Pavel,

Thanks! I used acrylic paints on it, but I really ought to varnish over it to make sure it doesn't flake off. It'd probably have worked better with another kind of paint but I had that lying around. You should be brave! Just draw on what you want to in pencil first to make sure it looks ok before you do anything too drastic!

I guess that I should, the shitter here though is finding the paints and such. I guess that I can always just go for a permenant marker which will eventually fade off. I won't be using the guitar though... I'm so much closer to my electric these days.

I'd post you mine but I can only shudder to imagine the gooey, spilt mess that you'd probably receive at the other end!
