Anyone heard of this New York-based band? They have a new song out called "Take Your Mama" It's about getting your mother drunk off of cheap champagne so you can come out to her at the gay bar. I saw them perform at a club in Hollywood a few weeks ago, and their energy was great, as well as the music. They're so big over there in Cali, meanwhile back in New York I haven't met many people who have heard of them. Strange...
The Scissor Sisters... I'm not sure if I like their music, but I love their provocative attitude and stage energy. I saw them live in June in Provinssirock (this huuuuge rock festival in Seinäjoki, Finland) and their show was brilliant!
Heard the album and thought it was a bit of a mixed bag, some I liked some I didn't. The singles have been pretty good, very popular in the UK right now.
they are quite simply one of the best live bands in the world. buy the album listern to it and for a day you will pretend to hate it. listern to it for a week and you will sell your soul for them believe me.
I heard their single and I think I remember thinking it was okay. You're all saying such good things, so I think I might download the album now.
4 replies without anyone mentioning that their Bee Gee's on speed version of Comfortably Numb sucked They are playing at the "A Campingflight To Lowlands Paradise" festival next week and it's one of the performances i don't want to miss... the cd is getting mixed reactions but i've only heard great things about their live shows..
I dont have a problem with scissor sisters - not my favouorite band in the world tho. Having said that however, I do love their new song ' Laura' ( has nothing to do with the fact that its my name lol ). peace and love xxxx

I heard them when they were at Glastonbury (on tv ...sigh) I think they are great and have a great attitude.. i think they pushed 'the darkness' out of the spotlight..wich is good in itself . can't comment on their album..but the singles have been good (IMHO) I hope they do not end up just being big in japan... http://www.scissorsisters.com/

I heard only one song, so I can't say anything about their music, but that song it wa called "Laura" I think wasn't bad, I can say I liked it, was nice By the way my sisters name is LAura, but is not the reason I like this song!!!
