Soapstone pipe

    This is a carved soapstone pipe. The face is 10" long. You put your whole hand in the handle.

    Photo 2 is out of focus, but shows the bowl and mouthpiece.

    Memory, In pic#2 the bowl is on top and the mouthpiece on the bottom.

    mellow, no I didn't carve it. It was bought from a sculptor in Modesto in the '70s.

    Actualy, my dad bought it as an art object. My brother and I didn't bother telling him on those occasions we made sure that it also worked as a pipe.
