so i just bought a used laptop, and it came with an external floppy drive and dvd drive...the SOB didnt give me instructions though, and i have no idea how to install it...there doesnt seem to be any space for it, and there really isnt any manuals, its a dell c400, and most of the manuals are at support.dell.com/home.aspx ...any help would be appreciated

doesnt sound right. if its not usb then it goes inside the laptop. the floppy drive should have a push in tab that lets you take it out. replace the dvd drive in it. thats normal for dell laptops. an external drive would be very straightforward on how its plugged in.
