would you rather buy a house or build a house?

personally,
id rather build one...its a great learning experience and its fun building things...plus, its cheaper and you know what you put into it...

 

I woudlnt want to actaully build one with my own hand because I seem to fuck up everything I touch, but Id love to design my own house. Mostly the kitchen, tahts the only area I want to design nicely, the rest just need to be large and the bedrooms have decent closests and Im godo to go. Just need win the lottery first.

 

Well, I'd rather build one... or at least, get some great architect's help to build the house of my dreams

Have a log home built to my specifications, a log home deep in the woods would be for me.

 

i want to design my own house and have a part it in building it, but i don't think i want to build the whole thing myself... if that's what you're suggesting however i could see building a cabin with a few ppl, i think that'd be awesome

 

i'd rather buy a house that's been built by some eco/cob/bio/earthship-type guru. i'd want one of those homes that heats itself, composts all of its own waste, reuses its own greywater and can stand up to earthquakes, hurricanes, acid rain and termites. housing isnt my specialty so someone else can figure out all of that stuff for me.

Build my own, without a doubt. Although I'd be better with the designing moreso than the construction.

 

I like the idea of getting a blob of property and building my own little house on it, I've known a few people who've done it, it's pretty cool!

I would like to have a room like this-but fuck all that furniture and fill up that area with myself and all my friends with their instruments and amps jamming our asses off tripping.
