My Space

I've never really gotten into MySpace... I'm kind of spread thin between writing up my own blog on blogspot (which I really don't do that often, it's more as a favour to a friend) and spending a lot of time here... I've never really found the appeal, though, for other places... I dunno.

It's funny I made my page back in January and had never heard of it before. Now it's like this thing that has a mind of it's own. I get over 2,000 hits a month.
More emails then my AOL account and 85% of my Photo and Drum business comes from it.
I like that if you don't want to have anything to do with someone you can just block them.
But this place has way more advantages then My Space and is more of a Community.
I like being on both.

 

Oh and I met Drew Barrymore thru it.

 

I like myspace because i can listen to music and keep in touch with friends from my old high school & like everyone in lodi. lodi is quite the little tight-knit community so if like i need a ride or something instead of calling everyone in my phone book i can just post a bulletein like 'I NEED A RIDE' and if someone i know is on & sees it i can usually get a ride. or like if someone's having a kegger they post aboout it cuz its just easier than callin everyone in lodi. so myspace is cool

i like the forums because i meet a lot of amazing people here and its just fun. plus, i kinda use these forums to vent in a way, i bitch about a lot of things on here i wouldnt bother bitching about to people i actually know

 

I only like myspace for the bands. I found quite some music I like on myspace. Most of my friends who are on myspace-kind of things are on other sites like that, like cu2 or hyves, which I don't find to have any use at all. But the trend got me so far that I pimped a myspace for my own... On hipforums I just like to read what's on peoples mind and sometimes interact a bit. Mainly in the marihuana, music and young hippies forums.

 

The first rule of myspace is, you do not talk about myspace.

 

I've got MySpace...have had it since a bit before I joined here, in fact. Got it so I could look for long-haired hippy boys to flirt with, hahaha. Well, actually I had a friend...a long-haired hippy boy (teehee!) that I met on Xanga (yes, I've been on most of the website fads. My boyfriend calls me an internet whore, lol) who had a MySpace and sent me an invite, so I joined. That was before it had blown up at all and there were maybe 30 people total in our area on there. I decided to stick around when it started growing, and have continued to stick around because almost every single person I know has a MySpace. It's a good way to keep in touch, I've found a friend that disappeared 10 years ago and rekindled our friendship. I actually found quite a few people who I thought I'd never see again.

I joined HipForums...looking for long-haired hippy boys. Haha. No, I'm not joking. I searched that exact phrase in google and lo and behold, I found HF. I like it because I've made a lot of friends on here, and it's great because once you become a regular, inside jokes begin, and I love me a good inside joke, lol. Actually, I think Skip laces this site with like nicotine or something. I swear, at work, when I'm stressed out, first I think, "Don't punch this guy in the face..." then I think, "Man, I need internet connection!" It's like a nic fit. Only it's a hip fit.

Wow, that post was insanely too long. I apologize. I'm going to go spank myself now. Hahaha.

 

Yeah me too. I like the band part and that's what it was made for when it first started.
Also we have erotic stuff here and if you post one pic of any thing nude they will delete your account on My Space.
Here we have much more options.
I like both-but My Space will be another flash in the pan.
This place has been here as a cosntant for 10 years.

 

Hahaha, on the erotic issue, my ex-boyfriend posted a full-out nude of himself with a badly drawn MSPaint smiley face on his dick and they made him take it down. It was so funny. I wish I had saved it.
