jess and Lying I love you both, however I have to say that before I became a mod, when i saw an abusive thread I would pm madcrappie and it would be gone within seconds and he's really cleaned up random thoughts too

Foolish. We will not argue about this. But bird's thread was fun, and random. And there are plenty of threads far more useless that aren't deleted. I think a mod should be consistent. That doesn't mean go ahead and be an asshole though.

Sorry Sam, I am very liberal. The only thing i won't tolerate are mean people. If a so called useless thread takes up a few KB of bandwith (when we have Megabytes of gallery space) who cares damnit.

 

when a person becomes a mod we don't get a rule book, we learn on the job, at any rate in the years I've been here i've never complained about threads being closed, it just doesn't seem like a big deal to me

You are given a very clear rule book, I don't think learning has anything to do with "If i don't like a thread, i close it"
