Ive been browisng websites about marijuana and legalization and came across this:

"President Bush recently announced that he wants to crack down on softer drugs, leaving the more damaging drugs behind. Marijuana, labeled the gateway drug, is the target of President Bush’s anti-drug campaign. But is cracking down on marijuana logical — and is it really the gateway drug?"

    IMPEACH HIM!

The more Herb we grow the less petro, pharmicuticals and textiles bush sells. Its that simple. The "gateway drug concern" is just a farce commited on the publik to distract them from the real reasons the powers that be oppose the growing of Hemp and marijuana. They oppose it because it replaces things they sell with a much safer, cheaper product thats enviormentaly friendly and non toxic. Then theyr also afraid of what it makes ya think. They act like they oppress it because its bad for ya but all the evidence shows its harmless and helpfull. Then they try and act like its not a viable resorce when it comes to textiles, oils and medicens when they know damm well its a more than adaquat competetor to the petro monopoly they got goin on. If it aint such a great threat then why did the Duponts get the feds to illeagalize it in the first place. Back then it was the #3 textile behind cotton at #2 and petro at #1. and Now the rick who stand to loose their fortunes oppose the Herb. Bush needs to look out HIS window and see refineries. They live in theyr white houses while they pay for laws that letem put theyr chimneys next to MY fukkin block. These chiminys dont need to be anywhere. There IS a beter way, but it would meen that the richest would stand to loose. Everybody needs to know the REAL reasons for whats goin on. It aint no theory, its a conspiracy. Blessins on everybody and protect yourselfs from this shitt!

Historically speaking the federal government and the president have been in favor of the drug war for quite some time now, regardless of which president or the politcal party they are associated with. Even if a president had "looser" views on it during campaign it's as if they realized in the job that it'd be political suicide to support the position. It's going to just simply be best for the states to do it first and then they will be able to bring it up in debates and public eye more on a federal level.

    Thanks,

    Neofree

    1) Yes, Bush is a twit. That would be tyrant needs to be stopped. Impeachment would be a good way to start, but the forces that put him in power didn't put all their hopes on this texas twit.

    2) Yes, marijuana is The gateway drug. The first illegal drug that a young person buys is usualy marijuana. It is the gateway for all illegal drug use. If someone becomes a hard drug addict, they did pass through the gateway marked "POT".

However, many, many, many, many people pass through that same gateway and don't end up hard drug addicts.

Tobacco and alcohol are more of a gateway drug than marijuana. How many of you tasted beer or smoked a cigarette before you smoked weed? There's also a difference between cause/effect and coincidence.

Nah, most people I know that smoke didn't really start to smoke until after they started smoking pot, and most people were high long before they were drunk.

Both tobacco and alcohol are legal, with age restrictions. Marijuana is the first drug that connect the users to a completly outlaw supply chain.
Tobacco and booze come from illegal cracks in a legal pipeline.
Pot comes out of an illegal underground pipeline.

Dissagreeing about the gateway is one thing. But I think we agree that, no matter what drug is the gateway, its silly for marijuana to be illegal.
The whole gateway drug argument is flawed, it attacks one drug to prevent use of a different drug.

Which reminds me, it says in the paper that this year's opium crop in Afghanistan is the largest ever. Another mission accomplished by Bush's forgein policy.
