I remember reading some post a while ago about going backpacking barefoot. I just came back from a trip across northern europe, and i went barefoot as much as possible, but in some places it just wasn't a good idea (such as places where i had to walk very far in very rough terrain, or if i had to carry a really heavy load, etc.) But I found it was totally fine, and I met several other local barefooters, and found it to be very accepted, especially in scandinavia. Anyone else have any such experiences? I would love to go backpacking and just leave the flip flops at the bottom of my back the whole trip.
