    Hi,

I live in the usa and want to vacation somewhere close thats nice and not to expensive that I can easly find weed and the laws are not to tight. Any recommendation?

I was thinking about these places if you have any input.

    How about cancun mexico?

    How about negril jamaca?

How about Puerto Viejo, costa rica?

amsterdam would be nice, but its a 20hr flight and a bit more expensive.

I only know english, will there be a language problem at any of these counties?

    Thank you,
    Jay Lyons

cancun's a sty post Wilma and WAY touristy.
NEgril is careful, but accessible, but it is more likely to be by chance.
    costa rica? you need friends.
Many countries are willing to arrest a gringo for a "contribution" or "fee" and some policia want to make a point that their country has a wonderful culture and does not exist for the whims of spoiled Americanos.

Where in the US could you possibly live that would make Amsterdam a 20 hour flight. That is absolutely absurd.

From the East Coast, Amsterdam is roughly a 7-8 hour flight depending on prevailing winds and thus even from the West Coast you are talking about a max 10 hour flight given the usual flight paths utilising the northern curve of the planet.

Whoever told you it was 20 hours likely figured you wouldnt recognise the difference between Amsterdam and Australia when you got off the plane. lol.

Ontario just legalized it and I’ve seen people smoking the streets all over Canada… my favorite place in Canada is Victoria…it’s beautiful and very new-age

    And Jamaica is always good

well, I can pay $2,000+ for a direct flight to amsterdam, or have 2 lay overs that take a total of 17 hrs for $875. I would love to take a direct flight but the price incress is to much I think.

Has anyone been to Jamicia, thats my second choice.

    Thanks,
    Jay

naw ....he is looking for people to smoke with and that is cool. Anyone can buy pot with a photo of pot and money in their hand......the english language question is related to being able to have some darn interesting conversations with the foreign locals. Am I right Lyons?

You will not have any trouble in Jamaca. Just make sure to take a cab when you leave the airport. The cabbie will have it on him or will take you to it. I suggest an all inclusive resort ($3500 plus plain ticket). Also, Baja California (Mexico etc...) will also work. Though you will need to travel into town and find a place to buy a bowl. Then point to the inside of the empty bowl and raise your eyebrows. The weed in Jamaca is good to great. The weed in Baja sucks.
And of course you need to pick a vacation based on weed availability. You want a vacation, not a rehab right?

Go to the tourist spots anywhere in Southeast Asia. You will be offered weed at least once a day, if not more. Just watch out, most of those countries have very tough penalties for drugs, including pot.

Well, this is the point of the entire thread. If she had friends overseas, she wouldn't need to post in the first place. At least I included a warning.

It's not legal anywhere in Canada. Cops won't care if you have a small amount, but if you have a lot, then you'll be charged.
And if your caught selling weed (no matter how much) you'll get charged and probably serve jail time.

That being said, Vancouver is full of pot heads, so it shouldn't be hard to get some there.

Amsterdam is THE best place. Only place (as far as I know) where weed is legal and most drugs are deciminalised (you'll get the drugs confiscated if you're caught, maybe a fine but you won't go to jail). Be damn careful before you come back though, cause if you spend the week in a drug-induced haze, you may forget that you had that little bit of hash in your pocket when you get on the plane.
Oh, and tha language won't be a problem - most Dutch people speak better English than Americans (which isn't hard given how you Yanks mangle the language ;) ).
