After a year of debating, I dreaded my 10 year old daughter's hair last month. They're coming along alot faster than I originally thought, considering her hair is so fine. So now we're a happy dready family. click on thumnails to enlarge
Wait till around she's 15 she'll have th ebadest locks in school everyone will be soo mad... Heh I started my locks a month ago also btw I can't wait for senior year to come and leave school... I know Imma have bad remarks :/
Thats just awsome... I love seeing pictures like that... Can we get a "classic" family photo of you guys?
Thanks guys. As soon as I knotted them up, her energy changed. She now looks like the wild child that she is.
You all are so gorgeous. Thanks for letting your daughter express herself, she will become a beautiful, intelligent mama for it.
Thanks for all the positive vibes. It's been rough, explaining it to the grandparents, teachers, etc. So far, her peers are intrigued by them. She loves them and that's all that really matters.
What do you mean you have to explain to there teachers? or they're teachers just concerned about your childs health?
I explain it to them so they don't think that we are neglecting her and report us to social services. Once I explain the process and reasons, the ignorance is erased. My biggest concern is to let them know that she bathes and washes her hair regularly, so there are no health issues. Alot of people don't have a clue about dreads, so I'm just educating them a bit.
