please help me come up w/ a topic for my term paper

In my Mass Communication course Law & Ethics In The Media... we have to do a term paper pretaining to anything that would be of legal subject mater. I've decited I want to base my term paper on something related to entertainment lw - however having Googled/Dogpiled a few different searches, I haven't come up with any specific concentration. I'm sure I could easaly do the report about music and the law and ethics of internet downloading... but that seems too easy of a topic to write about. I'm more interested in the area of movies or television and the laws/ethics pretaining to them.

Any ideas of how I can narrow this down would be helpful/much appreciated.

 

I've no idea what to suggest, but I do think that your idea is pretty good, even if it might seem mundane.

 

The affects of the new laws pertaining to child entertainers and how they may have assisted the children of the past. Maybe a spin on being able to prosecute violators previous to the laws being on the books?

How bout debate the rights to privacy for celebs.

 

How about the laws that were made years ago to stop subliminal advertising and how they still do it today but in a different way?

 

How about the supreme court's freedom hating FCC indecency ruling.

An appointed body decided it had the ability to regulate the content of medie.

I could write a term paper about that. Fucking FCC.
