Remember that God is The Maker of children
They’re given as gifts to God's older children
We cannot go back to where ever we've been
So we move toward those, about to begin
The greatest gift God gives us is love
The Son who He sent from The Heaven above
Yes, Mary was ever so greatly blessed
But, remember, He's ours when we're fed and we're dressed
Our children are His when all's said and done
"A child shall lead them", so LORD, Kingdom come!
He said we should suffer the children to Him
For such is The Kingdom...we all are in Him
No one in the flesh can ever be pure
We strive for perfection, but one thing for sure
When we put children in God's hands, we know
They're as safe as we are, where ever they go
If we taught them of Jesus, the children we raised
Will come back, after straying, their sins been erased

Written by Sharon Parry for Jean Bernet

I first published this on the Digital Divide Network about a year and 1/2 ago. I wrote it for a woman I worked for for a short while. Every day, she complained that her son was raised as a Seventh Day Adventist and when he got older he left the church. She often tried to convert me as well. One day I told her that The Church is the body of believers and not a building made with mans hands. I was respectful enough to let her know I intended to publish my poem on the internet after she had a read. She never spoke to me again. I miss you Jean! Hope you're doing fine and building that relationship with your grown son instead of worrying so much about the relationship he may or may not have with The Father!

    Hope you all enjoy it.
