for the past few weeks ive noticed a very small fly in my grow room or what i thought was "a" small fly, i killed it the other day then noticed another instantly n had to stop trying to kill that before one of my plants ended up being killed. i was wondering if any of you could tell me if this seems like a gnat or anyhting alse i should be worying about, the conditions in the room is 40-50% humidity and 22-28oC temps, and is there some kind of precautions to take now rather than later.

    cheers

Lights attract insects especially when its dark. Do any of your plants look harmed as it may be a harmless gnat.

not that i think is related, i have a plant which has shot way way ahead of the others which has some kinda rusty yellow spoting on its lower leaves but it aint stunted its growth for sure and it hasnt really spread, other leaves has developed small amounts but it seems to be only the older leaves, i was told it could be an N deficiancy which would make sense as it wasnt getting any nutes untill almost week four of its life (1st dose of nutes yesterday), i burned one of my other plants almost 2 weeks ago and decided to play it safe with the others.

I would recommend using sm-90. It will protect your plant from fungus and bugs. It smells pretty good too.
