its legal in Alaska...and no, it is no longer legal anywhere in Canada, not even ontario. This is as of a couple years ago...
weed has been illegal since the 20s, some places are more lenient, but it's still illegal, even in ontario
ah there are like 7 states that have leagalised it for medical purposes, but really our goverment wont legalise it for all us partakers casue they cant tax it
It was made illegal in Alaska when I was stationed up their in the army during the early 90's. However, at the time that I left, it only got you a ticket and a fine. I don't know what the law is now. When I was up there, the law was so under-enforced that we got pretty brave about where we would smoke.
I thought it was legal in Denver to possess up to a gram or ounce i can't remember which. Or was that just for medical purposes?
well, the DPD can use state law and make the complaint under that. SAFER is launching a statewide initiative, so Colorado lovers of freedom, register NOW and vote. Colorado also has a med law.
i believe its been decriminalized in telluride co. all you need to get a med perscription in california is $250. seriously....my friend filled out the paperwork for it and they came back and told her what she wrote on there that would disqualify her....then she was asked..."so, would you like to try again?" lol
Nope. SAFER lost that one because Telluride's law enforcement doesn't bother with it. It was the big joke around here, Denver legalized and Telluride didn't. Telluride, home of Shroomfest. again, if you are in Colorado and 18 or older, VOTE.
it doesn't mean it's legal, just decriminalized, which is the way it is here in ontario, you can have like up to 4 plants too, here that is
^^^I didn't know you could grow plants now in Ontario But yeah I don't think it's "legal" anywhere in the world really, as long as they have treaty ties with the US. Even in Amsterdam, it's just decriminalized. But there are several cities in the US which also decriminalized it or placed its priority below parking citations, Berkely and Seattle are the first two that come to my mind but there are others. The decriminalization btw only applies to personal posession of an ounce or so, but selling & cultivation are still illegal and enforced most places. And just because a local city jurisdiction decriminalized pot doesn't mean the state did as well.
The following states have passed laws decriminalizing marijuana. Typically, decriminalization means no prison time or criminal record for first-time possession of a small amount for personal consumption. The conduct is treated like a minor traffic violation. Alaska California Colorado Maine Minnesota Mississippi Nebraska Nevada New York North Carolina Ohio Oregon
