Hippie colonies / housing / plantations

Hey, everyone!
I have a very serious and important question to ask you guys.
I have decided that I want to LIVE in a 'hippie' (whatever you would like to call it) colony. I have been searching for one, but so far I've only come across the rainbow family gatherings. I see that they are festivals and what-not, but do you know of a place where one could live?
Any information would be of much help and very appreciated.

How about Cambria, California? I'm sure you could find housing there for under half a mill. It's a veritible steal!
