I have a 1987 International Diesel School Bus. I want to convert her to run on used veggie oil. Please if anyone has advice, tips, or even wants to help physically or with some information I would be ecstatic. The bus runs great the way it is but I want to break free of the petroleum cancer afflicting our people these days. Peace, Love and Unity. JUSTin

yikes, I have no idea whatsoever.

I'm a total girl when it comes to car stuff, I know nothing. It's why I married a car guy, he takes care of those sorts of things. ;)

Hmm, if you have a diesel you can convert vegetable oil to biodiesel, or get a mechanic to install a heater in your bus that can use straight veggie oil (its glycerine content makes it too thick when it's cold and it'll clog your engine). Try http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/ (dunno about American sites though, google "biodiesel" or "vegetable oil engine conversion")

I know there is www.greasel.com, there are in MA or some NE eastern state (too far for me) there is also a place in N New York . . .Green something. Do a web search. I'm doing the same with my schoolie soon. Oh, there is also a bunch of college students that built a veggie school bus and are traveling the country. They talk about a kid (do-it-yourself) for $650. I found them on the web. Could you let me know what you found out? As will I. Thanks.
