what if there IS a god, or several or multitudes of them, who loves us and wishes us well and all that, but ISN'T infallable, doesn't wish to be thought of as infallable and doesn't have the slightest wish to be worshipped and might even rather not be? i'm not trying to suggest this is anything that has to be. only that it is something that DOESN'T HAVE TO NOT BE. =^^= .../\...
I guess it depends on whether or not you believe mistakes actually occur. Objectively, humanity is not separate from the universe. The universe is what it is, humanity included, like it or not. What, exactly, is a mistake when everything that occurs is absolutely necessary in order for the universe to exist as it does? I don’t believe that mistakes exist, so I don't believe that God can be fallible. It is possible to rise above the delusion of ever having done anything wrong, to accept things as they are, lovingly.
The field of existance is such that for every person having a good time there's others having a bad time. It's not a zero sum game though. And it's not a game controlled by a higher power. What it is, is an environment for various being of differing capacities to have whatever they need to develop. Thus, this whole existance is holy, being the source of satisfaction. Held together by devas. Thus devas are our allies. To the degree that we call upon them for help. The destiny of this existance is not yet written.
well there you see, i don't believe that everything that occurs is absolutely neccessary for anything to exist, only the cause of it resaulting the way that it does. and is that really how we, or anything else, wants it to? "then don't worship, just love". i think really makes excellent sense. and i thank you chodpa, i see it a pretty much that way too. maybe devas. maybe just spiritness. or both. but aggree whole heartedly that not everything nontangable has to be some kind of big deal to be friendly and nonharmful. and even good friends to have. =^^= .../\...
Are devas necessary? Could it be that the universe is run by invisible friends? Maybe. But maybe it's actually a contelligent structure which regulates itself.
