Right, right. He sure verbally kicked my ass, what with the first line of his post being that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and the last line being he hopes my whole family is killed. Real sensible guy. Formulates his arguments well. I like that. He's the kind of fellow I'd be proud to back up in an argument. Seems like he's probably on the winning team.

So when all else fails, bring on the sarcasm.
The only part of what you wrote that sparked me off was "Steve is a dumbass who deserved what he got". I didn't mean I personally wanted your family dead, I meant I WISH you could be in the position of his wife who's now left to bring up 2 kids alone and suffer the loss of a husband. This "dumbass who deserved what he got"'s children are now to grow up without a father, only reflecting on his life through videos of who he was. And also, and I explained this in the last post to your sad pathetic form of life's self (which you still haven't justified) the word "dumbass" is the complete wrong term for what he did with his life. You're the dumbass, trying to criticise everything anyone says that doesn't coincide with what you think.
And notice I wrote at the beginning at that post everyone's entitled to their own opinion but this proves what a... etc. The BUT counted for an exception - and I then went on to talk about your insensitivity that is just wrong for this topic. Look at the first post. This is obviously a topic created by someone that gave a fuck about him and so from that you should of seen that there was nothing for you here with your shallow vulgar comments. I am completely in acceptance that the first line of what I typed must of looked like a contradiction, but no need to start bitching about it. I am no less mentally able than yourself.
And then you go on to sarcasm. The weakest, saddest, blandest, most hopeless way to mimic someone. And that's when I think fuck this little shit, he's just getting cheeky and not worth my time. I'll let you infest.
Now fuck you, I've got weed to smoke.

I think running away from an argument with the "you're not worth my time" copout is a little worse than using sarcasm. And what other ways are there to mimic someone you think is an idiot? Did you just say there is an exception to someone being entitled to their opinion?

And now that all that's out of the way, I will say this. I have been debating whether to set the record straight or not, but what I said did seem pretty insensitive, so I will. What I meant was not that "deserved what he got", but that he "got what was coming to him". I can't think of anything he really ever did to deserve to die, except annoy the hell out of me.

Well of course it was coming to him, the guy hunted crocodiles FFS. As for "not worth my time"- a copout? running away from an arguement? oh please, how can you expect me to carry on with this arguement when your immaturity strikes in the form of sarcasm?
That comment was in response to the sarcastic shite you left me to read, it wasn't a "fuck this I wanna bail out".
lmao, people that annoy the hell out of you deserve to die. classic.

Well laugh it up. That's probably the closest to a concession anyone will ever get from me on here, so I hope you're happy. I think it's pretty funny that anyone who disagrees with you is immature. I haven't done anything immature in this conversation, except I guess disagree with you. Idiots like you always act so damn dismissive online, I'd like to have an argument with you in real life and see who thinks they're hot shit then.

I think it's pretty funny that you think that I regard anyone who disagrees with me as being immature, when in actual fact i think the comments that YOU make are immature.
I do not appreciate sarcasm in an arguement, it breaches the point and gets you nowhere. It's not a very efficient way of getting your point across. It shows that you're not very articulate. It seems immature on your part. Stop trying to twist what I am saying to you, the only fucker I'm calling immature here is yourself..
You're the fucking idiot here "I can't think of anything he really ever did to deserve to die, except annoy the hell out of me" - what?! I take it I'm annoying you, maybe I desrve to die.
I'd love to have an arguement with you face to face but you'd be the hot pile of shit whereas I'd be shit hot.

Wonderful analogy. Just wonderful. I think people who take a petty online argument seriously enough to make a full rebuttal listing the holes in their opponents argument a little strange. Sarcasm does not make you inarticulate, it makes you human. A human being, capable of using tone to their advantage, instead of spewing insults like a robot. Learn to type, and learn proper spelling and grammar, then we'll argue over who's articulate.

As for the comment about him deserving to die because he annoyed me, tongue-in-cheek, my friend. I gather you don't appreciate such comment from your railing against the use of sarcasm, but don't act like a jackass and pretend to take it literally.

I'll state my position clearly. He didn't deserve to die, but he did needlessly endanger his life whilst having a family to worry about. He got what he had coming to him. If it was up to me, I'd let him live, but it's not. I think this whole argument is based on a misunderstanding, which is of course my fault for wording me opinion incorrectly. I hope this clers it up.

I send my apologies. I ask myself why I'm so defensive at times. I guess it's the way I am - christ, I'm turning into Woodstock Child in the Axl Rose topic here.

    -Peace.

Well, based on your opinion of sarcasm, I'll venture to guess that was sincere, so happy posting to you.

    you completely ruined this thread.
back on the subject, i was watching this thing on animal planet, an all day steve memoral thing, and they showed how steve saved a diver's life. i mean, he actually stopped the show he was filming when he heard about it, took the boat and looked for the poor man and saved his life. that doesnt seem like something a dumbass would do. his life was short, but he enjoyed every minute of it, he enjoyed his animals, his family, and his friends. he contributed so much to the environment, if you would just actually watch one of his shows instead of the comercials or the news you could see it.

You're a bit late. But it's nice to see people are so enthusiastic about joining the arguments they think have ruined threads.

I wouldn't use the term 'Dumb-ass' to describe Steve Irwin. He was a funny 'Crocodile Hunter' with bravado & tongue-in-cheek gusto.
Yes, he took absurd risks & was plainly risking his life with his 'hair-raising' displays & antics.
More to the point:-why do we,the punters, demand such over the top displays for our entertainers in this particular genre?.If the demand wasn't there;neither would be the supply.
It's doubly-ironic that after al his tangles with Crocks ;a Stingray should get him.
It's not his fault he's dead.It was a tragic accident. He mis-judged the danger in this instance.
    "Good on yer,mate!".(Aussie lingo).

    Steve Irwin:1962-2006.

well, i wasnt really 'joining in', i used to think he was a dumb-ass too, especially when he dangled his son in front of a crocidile. but when i actually watched his show, it changed my perspective on him. i was speaking from my experience.
i was just blown away that he saved that mans life! i thought that was great. the funny thing was that the man had no idea who he was!

flight, that is ironic about the stingray killing him, i thought of that too. this is going to sound a bit morbid, but i bet he would rather be killed by a croc than a fish. he did say he wanted to die on film, which is a bit bizzare.

Well I'm a fan of stingrays, so I fancy finding some Steve Irwin fans and cutting their legs off. Maybe I'll start with Mr. Takes Things Too Literally over here.
