in this story of jesus , written in aramic a.d. 300 , jesus states his principals of healing and long life . fast on the sabbath , and then .... a live-food diet is exclusively recommended : sprouted grains , nuts , fruits , tender greens , milk , and honey . for healing : seek the graces of the earth mother and her angels of water , air , and earth . the mother heals her children .
Live-food? In Japan they have these tiny little squids which they eat live by the bowl, oysters on the half shell are also eaten live as are some other kinds of seafood. So would all of that count in the essene diet. If so I could totally eat like that
probably nay to that , i spose . seems jesus said don't kill any animals . but this is a bit inconsistant with his fondness for milk . tis a fact of dairy farming that a cow , ewe or doe must give birth and only then the milk flows and at that , not eternally . this life cycle must repeat to maintain the female as a milk producer . considering a limited availabilty of forage and thus herd size - what's a farmer to do with all these accumulating young animals - especially the males ? average and practical people would eat them , perhaps make a drum from the skin . jesus expressed this logic : eat life and live eternally , consume death and you die . this "associative" thinking applied to healing . to heal the bones , lay upon the stones for seven days , fast , and pray , pray , pray . the body is of the earth , and thence healing comes from the earth who is your mother . i find these teachings true and useful enough , of a vitality , as they model a life-centered relationship of goodness and wholeness . in the essene christian writings , a personal life after death is not the big issue . become old ,old and very happy ! moo .
Where d you find Jesus saying not to eat animals? Oh, wait, he never said that. How do you explain the loaves and fishes thing, the killing of fatted calfs, him eating all sorts of other meat things, etc.
Jesus was God in the flesh, which is what His name Emanuel means. God tells us in the food laws not to eat UNCLEAN animals, meaning pig, shell fish, and some others. God is very inteligent. Pigs and shell fish are scavengers. Pigs don't even sweat. Every toxin that goes into that animal will go into you when you eat it. Jesus said He didn't come to change the law but to fulfil it. Furthermore, our bodies are not made any different today than they were in the era that He spoke to the Hebrew children and warned them of these things. He tells you in the book of Leviticus which animals are created to be received. Me, I love a good ribeye steak cooked on the grill and trout season makes me drool.
Folks , i am referencing only The Essene Gospel of Peace . This is an account of Jesus as related by the Essene Brotherhood (Jewish) who were contemporaries of thy Master . It has equal validity to any other writings ? It's an easy book to read , then , say what you think ....
eh people... 47 years old and still... its ok, as long you dont blow ur self )) jesus was just one smart , very smart man. taht even back then understood positive influence of right nutrition. And he choose the only availably contoriling thing, is that religion, he'd make people follow this , RIGHT choices because GOD said that.. adn peopel followed and lived longer, more positive, healthier lives. IF Otherwise peopel would think " WHo the heck is Jesus to tell us that ? "..... and it goes today.
Yeah, like choosing to claim to be God in a culture where blasphemy was a capital crime (for the Romans too. A God would never kneel to Caesar... which constituted subversion... and was a capital offense). Yeah, this guy was brilliant... Or maybe, just maybe, he really was who he claimed to be...
Goats testicles taste quite good as well, and being as though Jesus came from israel he would probably have sampled goats testicles and camels penis. This is a fact. No food went to waste in those times and these things were considered a delicacy. The eyes of the animal were also eaten, and the blood of animals was drunk rather like we would use pepsi max or "redbull"
the Essene Jesus reasons that ' life comes from life , and death from death ' . this he applies to nutrition and generally advises to eat nothing that needs to be cooked with fire since thence the food is dead . this as well he applies to learning from scripture - the living word of god is written in Life and Creation itself . upon paper it is as though dead . ....... this book was not chosen for inclusion in the christian bible . they just sent it to the basement for archival storage . it rather does not support the cult-ish idea of a mystical Holy Book .
Alsharad- Everything is possible... But with time . OMG 2000 years we understand what is real truth...
"Real" truth has been known for at least 2500 years and probably before then. Truth = any statement that corresponds with reality. Opinion does not equal truth, but can mirror it. Opinions can be wrong. "I think that there are no married bachelors" <- Opinion that is true. "I think that there are square circles" <- Opinion that is false. "I think that purple is the best color" <- Opinion that is neither true nor false due to subjective value statements within it ("best"). Not hard. The tough question: What is the nature of reality?
Why the dogmatic assertion? Furthermore, why listen to Jesus? He claimed it. If you don't think so, then examine the texts. If you don't like that idea, then why do you stick to essene texts that have much less support in regards to date, authorship, and historical accuracy than the traditional gospels? Can God claim to be God? If so, and Jesus claimed to be God, then where does that leave you?
. . there in the essene gospel is a much softer , diffuse expressed meaning of the Son of God . Jesus is/is not god . same goes for anyone who has a perceptive god experience . so , indeed three identities can be accounted : god , you , and you seeing god . as to the comparative validity of gospel stories .. mmm, i don't care . i absolutely will , tho , try out Jesus' recipe for bread .
Alsharad- in every generation i am sure ( i hope ) you can never know refering to ur post. we may not know the truth now from old days. But of course there were people that understood, and disbelieved in God, they were killed, even Socrates one of the wisest men back then. But Now as time goes... some can say FUck god and hes doign fine, hes not being searched and tortured somewhere.... peopel slwoly understanding... not forcing other ppl to go to church or reading bible, learning it. Do you understand what i mean ?
So are you going to avoid my questions? Why do you dogmatically assert that a man cannot be God? More accurately, that God cannot become a man? So you will believe an uncertain and unverifiable essene "gospel" over a textually verifiable (and contradictory) account? And this makes sense to you?
to alsharad ..... sorry , i did take seriously your question of why i do not accept a man as god . i answered . 'man is god' is a literal cornfyoozyun . to see god - or rather , the footprints of god in the mud - is to experience an identity of self intersected with god . it may seem the self who owns the senses is exclusively responsible for the experience , thus is god . we play with the theatre of identity . this view is supported by the essene gospel , tho i rather got on to it from nature - which is the path jesus of the essene gospel advises anyway . i'll make sense of any story as best i can .
. . and here's another aspect of this book that could've got it filed deep in the church archives ... by eternal life , jesus' idea was not exclusively about a personal life after death . it was of not dying at all ; sustaining by a good diet , a clean natural environment and faithful , wholistic prayer . this state of existing would be our heaven on earth . . .
