I have come across many many people say Jefferson Airplane had only two hits (Somebody To Love, White Rabbit). I strongly disagree. If you're one of those people or you just want to hear some new Jefferson Airplane songs, take a look at these. (You'll have to download to hear them unless you have it on CD or already downloaded.)

Jefferson Airplane's Songs of Joy (as in that they are good :))

    Somebody to Love - 3:00
Fire On The Mountain - 1:55
She Has Funny Cars - 3:11
    Let's Get Together - 3:36
    Plastic Fantastic Lover - 2:38
Wild Tyme - 3:10 (hey it has my band's name in it :D[Tyme if you weren't sure])
The Ballad of You and Me and Pooneil - 4:35
    White Rabbit - 2:34
    Won't You Try Saturday Afternoon - 5:05
    Lather - 2:58
    Fat Angel - 7:39
The Last Wall of The Castle - 2:42
    Greasy Heart - 3:24
We Can Be Together - 5:52
    Crown of Creation - 2:55
    Mexico - 2:08
    Wooden Ships - 6:24
    Rejoyce - 4:03
    Volunteers - 3:08
Have You Seen The Saucers - 3:40
    Eat Starch Mom - 4:35
Pretty as You Feel - 4:31
    Martha - 3:28
    Today - 3:03
    Triad - 4:57
Third Week In Chelsea - 4:35
    Good Sheperd - 4:25

Now if you have AOL Instant Messanger and don't feel like downloading them, instant message me and I'll try to send them to you. If I do get them sent to you, you can save the file as though you downloaded it.

Also don't get Jefferson Starship confused with Jefferson Airplane. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong Rat, that the only member from Airplane that's in Starship is Grace.

Simply judging a band only by its "hits" is pretty ignorant in itself.

Yes, because you need to judge the good and the bad. Or something.

And matthew you can IM at mountaindew10000. I'm generally online and at my computer, but if I'm not there just wait and I'll get back to you. :D

That group, not only has more than two Top songs, they had three names too. First, was "Jefferson Airplane". Then, "Jefferson Starship". and then, simply, "Starship". Hope this helps.

At one time or another Paul Kantner and Marty Balin have been in the band and Jack Casady played with the band on their latest tour when it didn't interfere with his Jorma gigs. I'm not sure if Jorma or any other Airplane members ever played with Starship.

One of the most amazing acid rock bands ever. I've got a few of their vinyls around here somewhere, and "the worst of jefferson airplane" on CD.

i'd like to say that I think it's amazing that the people behind white rabbit, mexico and somebody to love and all the other songs you mentioned, were the same people behind 'we built this city (on rock & roll)'... because white rabbit is... well... legendary... like an anthem, it means so much for people who enjoyed the sixties, even for people who are a lot younger (like me)... and we built this city is pure shite
