If I were you I'd harvest the PP to-day.
Pot that beautiful deserves to be slow dried (in a bag) and cured to bring out the full flavor and aroma (and also make 30% more potent).

hey buddy. yea u think its completely done? i have heard another week or so and also that its totally done for the pp, i woulda said another week, but i think u might be right. i jus want them to bulk up as much as they can so i can get the best potential dry weight and potency- lol im still hoping for that ounce per plant but i have learned that only time can tell. i would rather harvest it to early instead of too late...right? most of the hairs on the top of the bud have turned red, but the lower buds still have a lot of white in them. ill prolly leave them for another week or so.

are u simply saying that i should take the time to slow dry it...? i defintely will. by a bag do u mean a large paper bag like from a grocery store? curing makes the bud 30% more potent? i didnt know that, interesting stuff i just thought it changed it a little bit

thanks for the comments. the colors are crazy arent they. lol

(rare praise follows) You certainly have done yourself proud. Anyone would be pleased with results like that. It's truely one of the best buds I've seen in a long time and frankly makes me jealous.
For a rookie you have exceeded all expectations.

Slow drying (yes, like in a supermaerket style bag I have a thread on it somewhere) makes the bud smoke cooler, smell and taste better.
Curing brings out the true stoney flavor as the choryphyll degrades. Other chemical changes occur and the bud becomes more potent.
And the best thing about it is slow-drying and curing is FREE. Your only investment is time.

Here's my suggestion: harvest the main purple bud. Also harvest the next ripest bud.
Put the big bud in a paper bag as per my instructions, leave the other bud out on a table top or in a drawer to smoke as soon as it's dry (a day or 2). That way you'll have something to smoke in the meantime.

i truly appreciate ur compliments. beleive it or not it means alot. i have been thru some sh*t with this operation and im glad its turning out alright (so far lol) thanks.

yea i will def put them in the store bag and then cure. i have waited damn 4 months i can wait an extra week for that extra "umph" in it lol. then i jus put them in a glass jar and turn them twice a day and let them breathe a little. i heard that when using paper bags, u must make sure that the air doesnt get stagnent or moldy or mold will occur. should i open it once or twice a day to breathe? i always thought it was necessary to air dry it (like haning it from somewhere) but i guess this paper bag way is much cleaner, easier and just as effective. im not even gonna smoke any until its all done, mind as well wait. but after i take the main cola, just let the lil buds fill in for a week or so right. one last question i have is about the yield of that main PP cola. can u tell at all even a minimum of what to expect. i know i should jus wait and its impossible to tell exactly but i had to ask lol. if u cant tell i understand dont worry about it, just thought cuz u harvested before u might be able to guess. either way, i appreciate ur help...ur comments have helped me thru the way, u have defintely cleared up some confusion in the last 4 months.

There you go see just when everything was great you go asking est's of yield again.
You'll know 7--10 days after harvest.
If you have a scale, after the bud is manicured, weigh it. Dry weight will be about 25%--30% of the fresh weight.

Yes you open the bag everyday. You really should look around for my thread on harvesting, manicuring, slow-drying and curing.
