Just kidding. Fighting is for losers. Ermmmm, me.... where do I start.....? 6 foot 5ish randomer with shoulderish length brown hair. Poet. Musician. Artist. Geek. I love all kinds of music but I'm a crazy folky at heart with a good dose of prog thrown in! That's it for starters, maybe more random thoughts soon.
Well, since it's been one of those crazy catch up nights, my first question is: what have you been up to in the last 3 years?
Erm.... A levels mainly. Maths, further maths and computing. Working part time as a computer programmer. Learning to play a large number of instruments. Bumming round not doing much. That about covers it I think! Mike With a face like summer and hair like fire, could you be the one to let in?
Never knew you were into them, but now I know you are I'm doubly glad you're back! They're by far my favourite band. What's your favourite Levellers song, and why? And have you been to Beautiful Days before?
I've never been to BD but I want to go. As for favourite song, I don't know really, but if pushed, it would be Four Winds because of the lyrics, especially the last verse. Mike She was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing, so fine a breath of wind might blow her away...
It's a good song, though I've never really liked that album as much as the older stuff, 'Levelling the Land' especially. If you go to Beautiful Days next year, you should come and camp with us Where in the world (not PC World) would you most like to visit?
I would love to visit New Zealand, especially the mountains. My most prized possession is my first acoustic guitar. Least prized possession currently would probably be the empty carton of juice in front of me. Mike Dark, dark night, darker than thee, such a dark, dark night, oh so dark for halloween
I've noticed you have a new line under your name on every post - do you come up with them on the spot, or are they quotes from your poetry?
Most of them are song lyrics, some of them come from my poetry and songs, some from others, a few of them are made up on the spot. I guess I've done some wicked things, since I've been round. Caught an angel and I clipped her wings, left her on the ground.
You should post some of your poetry up in UK Arts and Crafts, would love to have a read. Ok, so on the computer side of things, what kind of programming do you do?
My poetry is mostly angsty teenager type stuff so I dunno. As for programming, I do VB (shudder), Delphi, and C-based languages (PHP etc). I develop web applications and backend software as well as end-user software and non-interactive software (e.g a program for database processing that has no user interface). Mike And I may just waste away from doing nothing, but you're a martyr for even less...
Yes. I call myself a Christian but what I mean by that is probably completely different from any perceptions or ideas that people have for what Christians should be like or what they should believe. Mike Wasted and wounded, ain't what the moon did, I got what I paid for, now...
You like the Gorkys.. how did you get into them? Do you think they are the best band to rise from Wales? If not / so who?
