Has anyone heard the new Idlewild CD? Its not technically out yet, but its around on the internet. I am listnening to it right now and its tight! Do you guys like outkast? I think they are great and i dont really like rap.
outkast is like.....rap with a thick country slurr pulled over it..... you dont see it layed on so thick all the time but when you do its the best..... david banner is country as hell too.....but he dosnt throw imagination at his songs by the pound like outkast.....i cant watch one of their videos without saying what the hell?.....missy elliot throws a little imagination into hers but hers is more serious....and kina dark sometimes
+ their new album is the best cd iv seen in a wile.....after touch it i thought busta ryhmes was gonna follow up with some hits but he let me down..... morris brown is going to win like 3240324203 awards double post 8/
OutKast is the shit. They make me proud to be a Georgia Boy. They are two of the few actual "artists" left in the rap game, at least in the mainstream's eye. I don't really like their new shit as much as their old shit, but it's hard not to respect everything they do as artists. Amazing talent. I just can't believe Andre doesn't smoke weed anymore, That was a shocker.
Yeh, the early stuff is best. Its so damn funky! To the starter of this thread, its quite common for non-rap fans to like Outkast mainly becuase they don't have a typical Hip Hop attitude, particularly Andre. They don't seem to take themselves as seriously as most other rappers, and I can't think of many rappers who take LSD and let it infleunce their music that heavily.
