surely god ? .i think we have all heard the sayin that when your numbers up its up (and i aint talking bingo or the lottery ) this has been playing on my mind for the last couple of days. if god decides (unless its suicide)" then how come evil people seem to live to a ripe old age and innocent children and good people dont ? . i prayed and asked this question last night "still waiting for a answer. with all this evil happening around the world today my faith is certainly being tested " maybe someone here knows the answer cos the question remains the same ......peace
Innocent children die because they accomplished what they needed to do here..Plus , God seen fit to give them their reward early, they were perfect in his sight and didnt need to stay here and try to learn as the rest of us do. Babies that die are instantly with Heavenly Father because of their innocense. Good people have been taken early because they accomplished their tasks ...and went to recieve their reward. Evil people remaine because God keeps waiting to see if they will change because he is a merciful and loving God !!
my nan lived till she was 80 odd and in no way was she an evil person "so sorry that blows that theory out the window.
lets just say if that is the case for discussion sake "do you think their spirits go straight to heaven ?hey fedup how yer doin man (good i hope ).
glad to here man............lit man ......where is heaven wow i think we have to follow the yellow brick road turn left at pluto then do a sharp right heading towards venus man . seriously tho i dont believe that when i pass over that my spirit / soul will go straight to heaven " i think there are spiritual planes were our souls must develop " also some spirits need help crossing over . thing bugging me at the moment is my first post and a answer to it "man to me its like the spirit world is a giant jigsaw and sometimes we need to find the right pieces to put into place "but maybe were not meant to know all the answers whilst in our physical bodies. as to all this madness in the world today " i have to hope that god will save the planet and peace and love conqueres all evil cos man alone aint doin a good job of it at the moment ..........right man back to the yellow brick road
I didnt mean only evil people live to be old !!!........I said that was one of the reasons that it appears that good people die and bad people seem to live on ! the theory isnt BLOWN .....
Im not saying that mine is the right answer...Im probably wrong...I dont discuss religion for this very reason because there are no right answers..theres only ones own beliefs...only God knows the exact...true answers.
Brutally frank.. But how can children have accomplished anything at such tender ages? I guess, it's not what they accomplish, but the role they play in influencing the lives of others, months, even years ,down the line.. A death, any death, is often a wake up call to somebody slipping out of control who may have a greater impact yet to fulfill in this world.. So perhaps not a lottery afterall.. I don't belive in God, but I DO believe in fate and purpose..
genetic codons and micro organisms mostly though your politicly motivated neighbor with a gun might occasionaly decide to. of course how you live has a lot to do with the odds, not because of how something else might feel about it but because of it's own, direct, natural consiquences. sorry if living in an impersonal univers offends anyone but we do. whatever god or gods might also exist in or outside of it. personaly i'm just as well pleased that we do. =^^= .../\...
If God exists, maybe he/she/it knows when we'll die, and maybe even decides it. I like the idea that before we are born, we are shown our life to be, and we either agree to it or not... I have my own personal reasons for believing that. As for why God would take the life of a child, the best answer I ever heard was given to a couple whose young daughter had just died. A Christian friend of mine replied, 'God could not bear to spend one more moment without her.' And as to why someone who is a very wonderful person might live to a ripe old age, maybe it is like the bodhisattva concept. These folks could move on, but choose to stay and help out instead. There have been many people who have told me about a time they tried to take their own life, only to have their efforts fail due to events beyond their comprehension. For example, a gun refusing to fire three times in a row when there was no reason for it not to fire. Suicide is like saying to God, 'You can't fire me, I quit!'
..... stupid, simple minded people... all they do is believe that somethign will help them when dangerous situation comes... if yo udont act yo uwill fail, if you act quickly and smartly you will live.
'It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose, that is life.' Capt. Jean Luc Picard As a general rule, your point is valid, but you can totally mess up and live, on the other hand you can do everything possible correctly and still die.
I instantly liked that concept the first time I heard it too. Often, when someone shares an idea like that, and I get an immediate good feeling about it, I never forget it, and rarely change my view from that first impression. I like how modest and honest your post above sounds. I am going to go out on a limb here and say I feel your not probably wrong, though, I bet you're probably right. And I know what you mean when you say there are no right answers, but I look at it slightly differently. I like to think there are as many right answers as there are people. We are all different, have lived different lives, seen, heard, and experienced our own unique things. Therefore, I feel we can all differ, yet still all be right. Not saying we are all right, just that we could be. Of course, I can't say what is right for anyone but me. Even then, it is just an educated guess. Blessed be.
Hm.... So pre-life Adolph Hitler or Josef Stalin agreed to live the life they were offered? Would our pre-life be extinguished if we turned our future life down?
I have only come to favour this theory because it was the only one I could accept as being the reason for something in my life that I needed to find an acceptable answer for. I instantly felt I had finally heard the right answer, but I can be wrong. It is hard to imagine Hitler, Stalin, etc. choosing to be such monsters, but we don't know the whole story. It might have been the case that if it wasn't them, it would be someone else, or that they were very desirous of power and control. I honestly don't know. I do feel that our life would not be extinguished, though, and just that we would be offered a different role that was seen to be more acceptable to us. Eventually, we would agree to one... I am just speculating. I don't know at all, it is just something I found that let me regain peace of mind at one time. I could not sleep and was obsessed with it. That suggestion of why our lives are like they are was the one that ended it.
