I guess so. If he smokes and is alright. But try just one hit.

Anyone would tell you its a risk though.

I have a friend who is schitzo, and he took one hit of some week ass acid and it really fucked him over in the head bad for a while. Ever since he's been having delusional episodes and can't sleep that often. I'd recommend for your friend to just take only a forth of a hit at first and see how it goes.

I wouldnt see it doing anything detrimental to him, unless his condition is severe as it is. I regularly trip with a good friend of mine who is schizophrenic, nary a problem yet. Though I realize that all results may vary with this kind of condition, just be prepared. Just keep him surrounded by comfort and people he knows.

My sister is a paranoid schizophrenic. I can only judge from my experiences with her and say heck no. Dealing with her without her medication and with has lead me to believe anything as powerful as shrooms/LSD would be very very bad.

The only thing I could say is if he does, take a small dose as suggested above.

I definitely wouldn't suggest it. I don't have any firsthand experience with schizophrenics but I've read numerous things that say it's dangerous and can trigger psychotic episodes. I wouldn't chance it.

basically, you never know with acid. there is a very good chance it will trigger a severe episode, and a very good chance it won't. but, taking LSD is in effect a temporary psychotic state, so even a normal trip will basically be a reminder of what its like to have a psychotic episode and that fear compounding on fear can definitly trigger a major episode

I would recommend for your friend to definitely NOT take LSD. I mean shit, it can bring out schizo in people who just have some member of their family at some time in their family line who are schizoprenic.

Just like someone said, he may turn into something like Syd Barret if he starts to take Acid (Cause he always had a residing schizoprenia to him, LSD just brought it out really quick and powerful).

yeah. my friend did lots of acid when he was 15, both of his parents are schizo! some of the stuff he tells me about what he sees and his perception scares me, and its more fucked than anything iv ever read on this site. its too fucked to even put into words on this page, little own trying to remember some of it.

all the sites on the internet will warn you not to take lsd if you have a history of mental illnes.....nuff said.

Actually, nobody knows for sure, he's shown signs of both, but he's never actually been diagnosed by a doctor. Frankly I think he showed more signs of schizophrenia, his behaviour/brain wasn't really inhibited in any way, just extremely eratic, plus in schizo vs. autism, while both can start showing signs at any time in life, autism is overwhlemingly seen and diagnosed in early childhood, while cases with schizophrenia more often don't show any signs of it till they're late teens/early 20's.

And also, he may have had neither of the above.
