i know. but i think it was made during one of my big breaks so when i saw it first time it was already to long haha. whatever.
It is a real word there? I rememebr having this discussion with one of my "wifes" friend's dad about how there are like 7 different words in Ukrainian for what that could be all haivng to do with digging a hole in the ground or covering it up with dirt and grass, but NONE were burdei. We always thought it was just amde up because there is no word like it anywhere else...
yes it's a real word here. there used to be a lot of them in my grandparents village. some of them are still left but no one leaves there. they're great though. lots of ghosts and spirits i've hunted in them as a kid.
Lol. Yeah, there were built here because people needed a decent shelter when they first got their land. Apparently it only take about a week to build. Sometimes younger people called it a Hobbit house I think that is neat to see a bunch of old ones. I really need to go to Eastern Europe someday
you have to. apparently my dad wants to revive the bordei. well not exactly, but he was making houses with some special bricks, made from dirt and straws. "chirpici" it's called, i don't know the equivalent
Know, i know what you eman. Houses in Ukraine used to be amde liek that too. The clay and straw is really strong if you let the clay dry slowly. The straw helps keep together
