i asked to live for my grandma in philly... my mom told me to go to hell and they said there going to make my life shit because i asked.
When you turn 16, get a job and get emancipated. But, uh, pull you're money out before the emancipation if you still have access to that cash. Running away isn't the best choice, but limiting contact with your family may be. Plus a job will give you an excuse to spend less time with your family, even if you're still living with them.
I thought that idea may backfire... you poor thing They say that because it makes them realise just how fucked up they are as parents. Well I guess they're already making your life shit though, aren't they? In which case you have nothing to lose. Whatever you do, getting a job is going to be one of the best things you can do for yourself.
my dad told me a story of when he ran away...: he was 4, he went down the street to a supermarket & bought some eggs & that was it. i've ran away a few times; when i was little i was pissed at my mom for somehting meaningless? then when i was about 14, i kept running away a lot because my parents thought i was too into drugs; party foul huh? anyways, i wasn't & now my parents & i are chill & they don't care how much herb i smoke!
i think that you should do it! I know an older lady who ran away from home at the age of 12. this was during the late ยด70s and she moved to a small freetown in copenhagen called Christiania. she still lives there as hippie. so if life shit at home, why not move to san fransico and live a free life.
Music...Good morning! Do you have too much empty time on your hands? If your parents are jumping on your case, you're giving them too much time to do it. If you're doing something constructive, they won't have the time to bug ya! Here's my suggestion, involve yourself with things that won't allow them any time to bust your chops, and at the same time it gets you out into the world. Case in point. It's election time. Go to the nearest office of a candidate or political party of your choice and volunteer some time. Same goes for the Red Cross, Food Bank, Veterans Nursing Homes, VA hospital, etc. Take a trash bag and pair of gloves, walk outside your front door and just start picking stuff up. Walk in the nearest VFW, American Legion, DAV, AMVETS Post and tell them you're available, ask what you can contribute. Before you think about running away, I want you to find out what you can best do right where you're at. The family dramas won't look so bad when you work with the rest of the world. Family is the first place you learn about how you fit in with others. If you can't work it out with family, what makes you think it'll be better with strangers?
