I am coming off of the third anti-depressant I have taken, Effexor XR, and the withdrawl effects are awful. I had to come home from school today. This is a perfect example of an evil pharmaceutical drug. And the government wants me to think that marijuana is bad for my health! It is the only thing that has kept me sane in the past months. It is truly a healing plant, for many uses that I take advantage of, such as the cereal I am eating and the shoes I wear, and even my lip balm. I say FUCK the governments fucked up laws. I'm not going to support this bullshit economy like most people are. And I'm not going to stay quiet. I'm totally done smoking pot in large amounts like a stoner. I just get too high and it's not fun. What I enjoy is a small bowl in the morning and one to two more later in the day if I feel that I want to. Marijuana is my new medicine. Effexor, nice to know you.

Anyone else used mary as a way to come off of pharmecutical drugs? It is a hard fight, but it can be won.

I personally use them in conjunction because it is true that weed is a depressant.

Either way, weed can be therapuetic to it is possible that it can help you in your situation.

I hope it works out for you. Depression is a bitch. I've dealt with it all my life. I haven't been really depressed since I started smoking.

Did you stop gradually like you are supposed to?

And weed might boost your anxiety or depression if you smoke everyday, in long term. But if it helps with symptoms I guess its cool

I think it's very much a personal thing, how weed effects you. Some people it lifts up, others it drops down. In some people it cures headaches and in others it causes them. If it works for you then go for it man! You are the only person who can judge whether or not doob is the medication for you.

I used to work in the drug rehab industry, and have seen the benefits of MJ in people who are withdrawing from hard drugs, so in answer to your question plenty of people have tried it with varying degrees of success, and if it works for you then why change :)

Yes. I have been gradually coming off of the Effexor. My main point is that this drug, effexor, which is legal, is much more harmful to me psychologically than any weed I've ever smoked. Not to mention it has physical withdrawl symptoms, which I've never had from smoking pot.

I take Effexor its worked wonders for me. I'm quite happy to take it forever. Without it I can't enjoy smoking weed. I suppose different things work for different people. I consider Marijuana just as much a part of my medication. In fact I better go and make a medicinal spliff right now.

I am honest with my doctor and you should always be. Talk over with doctor before you make mind over.

I have state card for MMP in Cali and it cut my use of pain meds in half and my doctor was happy as can be because of the amount I was on 350+ a month. The pot helps pain lot.
